Business U.S. 60 in Cabool will continue to be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction for ongoing sidewalk improvements by contractors. This project is part of the Missouri Department of Transportation’s initiative to bring roadway facilities into compliance with the current standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Work began May 7 on the project, which affects the stretch of road between Rogers and Peabody avenues and was originally slated to end June 15. The completion date has been extended to June 22, weather permitting.
Contractors will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
