West Plains utilities worker Shane Eades makes the final adjustments on two new security cameras installed Friday near the splash pad in Butler Children’s Park. Earlier in the day work crews made repairs to the clarinet water fixture that was damaged due to potential vandalism. According to Community Service Director Todd Shanks the splash pad is now reopen and will be under more stringent surveillance. The city is asking people who see older children or adults climbing on or trying to damage the splash pad equipment to please call the West Plains Police Department at 417-256-2244.
