SUMMERSVILLE BOOKENDS

Letters, photographs, mementos, and other fragments of life were strewn about the devastated landscape in the aftermath of the tornado that had ripped across the Missouri farmland. While an elderly woman was trapped in her storm cellar, others made their way to a nearby town to gather in the only building left standing.
