Thanksgiving holiday closures, early deadlines

Posted

State offices will be closed Nov. 28 and 29 by order of Gov. Mike Parson, in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday. Included among the closures are driver examination stations statewide.

City offices and the West Plains Daily Quill will also be closed both days.

While the Quill office will be closed both days, the Nov. 30 paper will be published and delivered as normal, however early deadlines will be in place for obituaries and all advertising, including legal notices. Obituaries intended to published in that issue must be received by 10 a.m. Nov. 27. Commercial and classified advertisements, along with public notices, must be submitted and approved by the advertiser by 3 p.m. Monday. Call 417-256-9191 or email news@wpdailyquill.net with questions.

The two-day closure will alter regular trash routes in the city of West Plains, say officials: Monday and Tuesday routes will both be picked up Monday, Wednesday and Thursday routes will be picked up pm Tuesday, and Friday routes will be picked up on Wednesday, Nov. 27.

Contact city hall at 417-256-7176 with any questions.

Regular operations will resume Dec. 2.
