Tuesday afternoon fire at WP Recycling closes Holiday Lane
When this photo was snapped about 1 p.m. today, the West Plains Fire Department, with mutual aid from several rural fire departments including Howell County Rural Fire Department, whose tanker is shown here, was fighting a fire at West Plains Recycling off of Holiday Lane. Police reported shortly after noon that street was temporarily closed south of Sunset Terrace and north of the police department, asking driver to find an alternate route until the road reopened. West Plains city officials announced on social media shortly after 2:30 p.m. that the road had reopened.
