West Plains School District officials are congratulating the 2023 Arts Alive Best of Show and Mayor's Choice winners, who were announced Tuesday evening. Silvia Jeter won Best of Show with her painting, "Every Day,” and Brooklynn D. Smith won the "Mayor's Choice" award with her chalk pastel drawing titled "The People." The high school shop class will frame Smith’s piece, and then it will hang for display at West Plains City Hall.
