INCIDENTS
At around 7:00 p.m July 14 Officer Paul Bradshaw was dispatched to the Butler Children’s Park for a report of a suspicious male. On scene contact was made with the male and drug paraphernalia was located. The male was transported to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment and released. At the time of this report, no charges were pending in the matter.
At about 10:09 p.m. July 14 officers responded to the intersection of Thornburgh St. and Garfield Ave. in West Plains, Mo. for a report of a two vehicle accident. One vehicle had left the scene of the accident. An accident report was completed. At the time of this report, this case was considered open for further investigation. Officer Whitley Clark.
At about 11:01 p.m. July 14 officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Luna Dr. For a report that there was a female at the reporting party’s residence. Upon arriving, the female was located in an altered state, and EMS was asked to respond to the scene. It was also learned that the female subject had active warrants out of the City of West Plains and also the City of Mtn. View. After the female was released from Ozarks Healthcare, she was transported to the West Plains Police Department where, at the time of this report, she was being held on listed warrants. At around 8:40 a.m. July 15 Officer Paul Bradshaw made contact with a female on Howell Ave. who had an active warrant. The female was arrested and transported to the city jail for housing. At the time of this report, no charges were pending in the matter.
At about 11:12 a.m. July 15 officers were dispatched for a report of property damage located in the 1100 block of Broadway St. in West Plains, Howell County, Mo. It was reported that someone had painted a couple of tables under the pavilion. At the time of this report, this case was still under investigation. Officer Conner Burnes.
At 2:25 p.m. July 15 Officer Kevin White was dispatched to 1912 Holiday Lane (West Plains Police Department) for a report of stealing. Upon Officer White’s investigation, he found that a female had ordered a package on Amazon and the package had been delivered that day to her residence located in the 1900 block of Meadow Dr. Upon finding her package on the front porch she noticed that it was opened and what she ordered was not what she found inside; the victim found a bag of candy. The victim was able to see the mailman deliver the package, and no one else came up to the front porch, so she reportedly thought that the mailman opened her package and replaced what she ordered with candy. At the time of the report, the mailman had not been identified and the investigation was forwarded to the Detectives Division for further investigation.
At 2:47 p.m. July 15 it was reported that, that day, a male subject reported to Corporal Wes Stuart the theft of a handgun and U.S. currency from his vehicle while it was parked in the 400 block of Abe Taylor St.
