The West Plains High School Zizzers battled through three electrifying games at the recent Mtn. Grove Tournament, showcasing grit, skill and determination en route to a hard-fought third-place finish under the guidance of head coach Mason Miller. West Plains kicked off last week’s tournament with a statement win against the Marshfield Bluejays in the first game, claiming a commanding 53-41 victory. The Zizzers set the tone early, with Clayton Robbins scoring the opening basket, followed quickly by Aden Judd to put the Zizzers up 4-0. However, the Bluejays responded with a 7-0 run, seizing a brief lead before Ethan Tuma’s clutch rebound and score tied the game at 8-8 heading into the second quarter.
