Jalen M. Meadows, West Plains, was ticketed at 1:22 a.m. Sunday on Main Street on a charge of failure to maintain financial responsibility for a vehicle. Officer Paul Bradshaw.

Jarrod Tony Harris, West Plains, was ticketed at 4:40 p.m. Sunday on Lanton Road on charges of failure to maintain financial responsibility for a vehicle and speeding. Officer Brandon Stephens.   

Anthony Raymond Sitzes, West Plains, was ticketed at 9:18 p.m. Sunday on Eighth Street on a charge of driving while intoxicated. Officer Stephens.   

INCIDENTS

Officer Conner Burnes reported at 7:09 p.m. Jan. 5 officers responded to a Walmart call regarding two people suspected of shoplifting. The subjects fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers. The case was sent to detectives.  

A man reported at 8:39 a.m. Jan 7 a man he knows came to a home on Jackson Street knocking on his door, harassing him and making threats. Charges are pending. Officer Ivie Powell.

A West Vue employee reported at 9:13 a.m. Jan. 7 several items were lost or stolen from the Davis Drive facility. The incident is under investigation. Officer Brandon Romans.

A gas-powered generator was stolen sometime between Dec. 28 and Dec. Jan. 2 from a location on the 1100 block of Porter Wagoner Boulevard. The case remains under investigation. Officer Powell.

It was reported at 3:04 p.m. Jan. 7 tires were slashed on a vehicle parked on Washington Avenue. The incident remains under investigation. Officer John Murrell.

Officer Murrell reported at 7:18 p.m. Jan. 7 officers responded to a home on McFarland Drive in reference to a man found unresponsive and not breathing. Emergency medical personnel discovered the man was deceased and the incident is under investigation.

It was reported at 7:50 p.m. Jan. 7 someone fraudulently used a debit card in the state of California. The case was forwarded to detectives. Officer Burnes.

Officer Bradshaw reported at 7:32 a.m. Jan. 8 items in a room were damaged at the West Plains Motel. A woman staying there reported she was assaulted by someone she knows and had signs of injuries, but refused medical treatment. Charges are pending.

A woman reported at 9:42 a.m. Jan. 8 a male juvenile she knows threatened her. A report was forwarded to the juvenile office. Officer Sean Barrett.

A man reported at 12:33 p.m. Jan. 8 his bicycle was stolen from Samaritan Outreach. Officer Powell.

Officer Bradshaw reported at 6:35 p.m. Jan. 8 he responded to a call on Texas Street when he saw a woman punching another near the intersection of Sixth Street. A woman was arrested. Charges pending.

Officer Powell reported at 10:07 a.m. Jan. 9 he was investigating  possible child abuse when he learned the incident happened in Springfield. The investigation will be sent to the Springfield Police Department for more investigation.

It was reported at 11:51 a.m. Jan. 9 there was a fight between two juvenile males at Richards School on north U.S. 63, no medical attention needed. Referrals were forwarded to the juvenile office. Officer Romans.

It was reported at 3:33 p.m. Jan. 9 three suspects stole several items and damaged several vehicles parked on Trish Knight Street. The incident remains under investigation. Officer Burnes.

A woman reported at 4:16 p.m. Jan. 9 her ex-husband violated a temporary protection order by sending her several emails. A report was forwarded to prosecutors. Officer Brown.

It was reported at 4:20 p.m. Jan. 9 a vehicle left in a parking lot at Southern Hills Shopping Center the night before was stolen. Officer Burnes.

It was reported at 5:21 p.m. Jan. 9 a male suspect pumped $16.30 worth of gas at a business on Preacher Roe Boulevard and left without paying. The incident is under investigation. Officer Brown.

Officers responded at 10:05 p.m. Jan 9 to a home on Maple Street in reference to a suicidal man being combative. It was discovered a domestic assault had happened and a report was forwarded to prosecutors. Officer Brown.

A tablet was reported found in the road at 8:07 a.m. Jan. 10 on Broadway. It may be claimed at the police department. Detective Bryan Brauer.

Officer Brown responded at 5:14 p.m. Jan. 10 to the elementary school parking lot in reference to a school employee possibly selling and using marijuana in the parking lot after school hours. Brown said while speaking with the suspect he smelled the odor of marijuana and a small amount of marijuana was found in the course of the investigation. The suspect was ticketed on a charge of possession.

Officers responded at 9:01 p.m. Jan. 10 to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter. Charges are pending. Officer Burnes.

Officer Burnes reported at 10:06 p.m. Jan. 10 officers responded to Walmart to a report of trespassing. Charges are pending.

Officer Trent Kinder reported at 9:05 a.m. Friday the police department received a report from the Missouri School Violence Hotline that children were being bullied and harassed by a staff member at the West Plains Elementary School. No evidence was found to confirm the allegations and no charges were filed regarding the incident.

A woman reported a theft at 11:39 a.m. Friday at a home on Crestwood Circle. The incident remains under investigation. Officer Travis Howell.

During the investigation of a suspicious person at 11:28 p.m. Friday on Joe Jones Boulevard it was discovered a domestic assault had occurred. Neither party wished to complete a report and a probable cause statement was forwarded to prosecutors. Officer Bradshaw.

It was reported at 2:08 a.m. Saturday shots were fired at a vehicle near the intersection of South Hill and Summers Street. A suspect has not been identified and the incident will be forwarded to detectives. Officer Bradshaw.

Officer Murrell reported at 9:24 a.m. Saturday a vehicle was possibly been stolen and returned with damage. Two passenger side tires were missing and the rims were badly damaged. The incident remains under investigation.

A woman reported at 3:31 p.m. Saturday several items were taken from a home on Renfrow Street. A suspect was identified and a complaint was forwarded to city prosecutors. Officer Tinsley.

A harassing phone call was reported at 5:32 p.m. Saturday and the number came back to an employee of White Castle. Officer Tinsley.

It was reported at 12:52 a.m. Sunday a domestic assault occurred at Ridge Crest Hotel and the alleged victim was being treated at Ozarks Medical Center for visible injuries. A suspect has not been identified or located and the matter remains under investigation. Officer Jacob Russo.

Officers were dispatched at 3:11 a.m. Sunday to a home on Bartley Street in reference to a possible domestic assault. Injuries to the alleged victim were observed and a woman was arrested pending charges. Officer Russo.

Officers responded at 1:27 p.m. Sunday to a home on Jackson Street to a report of a domestic assault. A woman said she was assaulted by the father of her children. The suspect left prior to the arrival of officers and a complaint was forwarded to prosecutors. Officer Murrell.

At 3:34 p.m. Sunday it was reported the Redbox kiosk at Walgreens had been damaged. A suspect or suspect vehicle have not been identified. Officer Stephens.
