Wood & Huston Bank of West Plains was a $250 contributor to local fundraising efforts to find a cure and treatments for cystic fibrosis. The West Plains Senior Center/SeniorAge Area Agency on Aging received an urgent-need grant of $2,900 in August 2024. The funds went toward a three-door commercial refrigerator. “We are so grateful to partner with Ozarks Food Harvest on this project,” said center Director Joy Pace. “Since we had a growing number of older adults coming into the center, we served even more desserts and needed more space to store those yummy desserts.”

Ozarka College officials in Melbourne, Ark., announce the recent appointment of Amber Rush to the position of vice president of Finance. Rush rejoins the Ozarka team after having worked as a member of the University of Arkansas System finance team, playing a critical role in the onboarding of systemwide integration software. Prior to that role, Rush served as Ozarka’s controller until 2021. “We are thrilled to have Amber back at Ozarka,” said Dr. Josh Wilson, Ozarka College president. “Amber brings a wealth of knowledge in higher education finance coupled with a sincere passion for helping Ozarka students. Scholes specializes in holistic energy processing services, using techniques such as emotional processing, chakra balancing and meridian balancing to support overall well-being.
