Operation Christmas Child celebration March 23 

A celebration of the completion of the 2023 Operation Christmas Child shoebox project by Samaritan’s Purse will be held at 10 a.m. March 23 at Crossway Fellowship Church, 220 Drew St. in Willow Springs.

“Come join us in thanking God for all His provision for us and for the advancement of His kingdom during the 2023 collection season,” invite organizers, adding, “Bring a friend!”

Annual Tour D’ Art coming to Ozarka College

The Friends of the Paul Weaver Library will present the group’s 11th annual art extravaganza, Tour D'Art, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 18. This year's theme is, "An Artful Journey" and will take place in the John E. Miller Education Complex on the Ozarka College campus in Melbourne, Ark.

The art exhibit will include works from art students and instructors from area high schools, plus works from Ozarka College students, faculty, staff and friends. Original folk and fine arts including painting, sculpture, drawings and other art forms will be showcased this year.

The Friends of the Paul Weaver Library is a group of area volunteers and library staff who work together to promote the Paul Weaver Library and Ozarka College. The group hosts cultural events such as the Tour D'Art to build awareness of the college and its opportunities, as well as to highlight the creativity of area students and others, said officials.

Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner to be served Sunday

St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 808 N. Y Highway in Mtn. View, will serve its annual Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner from noon to 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the church hall.

Tickets are $15 per adult and $7 for children younger than 10, and may be purchased at the door. Takeout meals are available.
