Amanda Grisham's South Fork Elementary first grade class recently did 100 acts of kindness to celebrate 100 days of school. First graders handed out Sonic drinks to teachers and staff with a kind message such as, βI appreciate you.β The children also took time to read to preschool students, made Post-it notes with kind affirmations and placed them on classroom doors, cheered for kindergarteners as they went out to recess and told them to have a great day, provided cookies to several classes, and wrote letters and drew pictures for others. βIt was fun to watch the kindness spread throughout the building,β said district officials.
