Commission awards contracts for Southeast District projects

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded contracts for Southeast District projects during its regular meeting on Feb. 14. Awarded contracts include pavement improvements, bridge replacements and improvements to pavement markings. 

Among the contracts awarded, a bid for about $8.13 million was awarded to Pace Construction for two Texas County projects. The company is contracted to resurface Highway 17 between Highway 38 and U.S. 63 and resurface Highway 17 from AW Highway to Highway 38, adding rumble strips.

A contract for $3.85 million was awarded to Missouri Petroleum Products for scrub seals on Highway 19 from U.S. 60 to U.S. 160 in Oregon and Shannon Counties, as well as on highways in Bollinger, Wayne, St. Francois and Ste. Genevieve counties.

A $2.19 million contract was awarded to STF for pavement marking improvements on U.S. 60, 63 and 67 at multiple locations in the Southeast District.

A further estimated $16.04 million was collectively awarded to six contracting companies for assorted repairs in various places throughout the Southeast District. This includes bridge replacements and repairs in Iron, Carter, Wright, Scott, Stoddard, Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, New Madrid and Mississippi counties, and pavement work in Cape Girardeau, Scott, Stoddard, Pemiscot, Perry and New Madrid counties.
