In honor of Autism Awareness Month in April, the TJ Swift House A.S.C.E.N.D. Program at Missouri State University-West Plains and the Community Foundation of the Ozarks will present an exclusive showing of the award-winning documentary “In a Different Key’ at 7 p.m. April 11 in the West Plains Civic Center theater, 110 St. Louis St.
This poignant documentary tells a true story of love, difference and the fight to belong, organizers said. Through intimate narratives and powerful visuals, the film explores the unique journeys of individuals and families affected by autism spectrum disorders, organizers said.
“We are so thankful for the donation from CFO to give us this amazing opportunity to show ‘In a Different Key,’” said Mikala King, director of the TJ Swift House A.S.C.E.N.D. This event is open to all and free of charge to encourage everyone to come together in support of autism awareness and understanding, organizers said.
