Dr. Joseph Barnard now seeing patients at OZH in Gainesville

Posted

Ozarks Healthcare recently announced Dr. Joseph Barnard, board-certified family medicine physician, is now caring for patients at the health system’s clinic in Gainesville.

Barnard joins Dr. Edward Henegar, board-certified family physician, and Trisha Vigna, board-certified nurse practitioner. Together, they offer traditional primary healthcare services, such as treatment of common illnesses, well-child visits, health-risk assessments and immunizations at Ozarks Healthcare in Gainesville.

With a background rooted in compassionate patient care, said officials, Barnard brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. He completed his residency in family medicine at Cox Health Family Medicine in Springfield, and holds a Doctorate of Osteopathy from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Prior to pursuing his medical career, Barnard served as a physical therapy assistant at Ozarks Healthcare Therapies, further deepening his connection to the local community.

“As a primary care provider, Barnard will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, coordinated care to individuals and families in Gainesville and the surrounding areas,” said officials. He is now seeing patients Mondays and Thursdays in Gainesville. He still serves as a primary care physician at Ozarks Healthcare Family Medicine in West Plains on other days of the week.

In addition to primary care, wound care and behavioral health services, Ozarks Healthcare Therapies, Ozarks Healthcare Medical Equipment and Ozarks Healthcare Pulmonology also travel to Ozarks Healthcare in Gainesville to provide services.
