Daylight saving time ends Sunday

Daylight saving time will end at 2 a.m. Sunday, resulting in the potential for an extra hour of sleep for most in the U.S.

Clocks that don’t reset automatically should be set back one hour at that time, or, more practically, before going to sleep Saturday night.

Daylight saving time will return March 10.

Veterans Day Parade is Nov. 10

Organizers of the West Plains Veterans Day parade have announced it will make its way through downtown at 11 a.m. on Nov. 10.

This year’s grand marshal is Brigadier General Mike Pace.

Participants are asked to line up starting at about 10 a.m. Lineup will begin behind the West Plains Armory and continue down Webster Avenue.

The procession will follow its traditional parade route, making its way from People’s Park on Broadway, moving east down Main Street, around the south side of the square and continuing on Main Street to St. Louis St., where it will disperse at the West Plains Civic Center.
