A man from Pocahontas, Ark., died of injuries suffered in a head-on crash involving four vehicles at 8 a.m. Monday on U.S. 63 in Bono, Ark., reports the Arkansas State Police.

The deceased, 53-year-old Michael Wade, was heading south on the highway in his Ford and crossed into a turning lane, where he struck a northbound 2008 Chevrolet driven by John Miller, 41, of Hardy, Ark., who was waiting to turn left into Hawkeye Wrecker Sales, reported state police Tpr. Victor Garcia with Troop C in Jonesboro. The impact was reportedly head-on.

The Chevrolet was then pushed into the inner northbound lane, where it was hit a second time in the rear by a 2020 Mazda, then a third time on the passenger side by a 2023 Dodge, Garcia reported. Wade’s Ford came to rest on the northbound shoulder of U.S. 63, facing south, he added.

Miller was reportedly taken to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn. for treatment of his injuries. No injuries were reported for the occupants of the Mazda or the Dodge.
