Historium to host farm humorist Jerry Crownover

Posted

Popular farm-humor columnist and speaker Jerry Crownover, who grew up in Mammoth, Ozark County, and graduated in 1970 from Gainesville High School, will speak at 10 a.m. Feb. 15 at the Ozark County Historium, 361 Main St. in Gainesville. The presentation is free and open to everyone.

Although he’s now retired from the speaking circuit and column-writing, Crownover, who lives with his wife Judy near Halltown, is often willing to come back to his hometown to see friends and relatives and support local organizations. He will also speak at the Gainesville Lion’s Club meeting at noon the same day.

Crownover continues to share his farm-related humor and insights in videos posted on YouTube. Find them by searching for “Crown Cattle Company.”

For more information about Crownover’s appearance in Gainesville, call the Historium, 417-679-2400, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays, or email ozarkco1@ozarcountyhistory.org.
