ARRESTS

Kyle Denny, 51, was arrested Jan. 8 on a Shannon County charge of possession of a controlled substance and released the same day on $10,000 bond. Jailer Michelle Carlson.

Mathew Jeremy Pruitt, 51, was arrested Jan. 8 on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge and released Jan. 11 on $500 cash bond. Missouri State Highway Patrol Tpr. C.C. Battreal.

Christopher Allen Wright, 41, was arrested Jan. 10 on charges of keeping or maintaining a public nuisance, second-degree drug trafficking and unlawful use of a weapon by possessing a weapon and a felony controlled substance. He was released the following day on $100,000 bond. West Plains Police Officer Jacob Brixey.

Jordan E. S. Kimbrough, 38, was arrested Jan. 8 on a charge of driving while intoxicated and released the same day without bond. Deputy Dylan Webb.

Zachary Lee Carvery, 23, was arrested Jan. 10 on a charge of third-degree domestic assault and two warrants for failure to appear on misdemeanor charges. He is held on $11,000 bond. Cpl. Seth Smith.

Kristina Lynn Baldridge, 37, was arrested Jan. 10 on a charge of speeding by 11-15 mph over and released the same day on $300 bond. Jailer Ethan Wake.

Amy Nicole Poyner, 35, was arrested Jan. 10 on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She is held on $50,000 bond. West Plains Officer Brixey.

Dalton A. Mahan, 22, was arrested Jan. 11 on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge, plus a traffic offense charge of having defective equipment. He was released Saturday on $240 cash bond. Deputy James Wardrip.

Kyla Nachelle Priele, 33, was arrested Friday on a warrant for failure to appear on a felony charge and released the same day on $7,500 bond. Deputy Michael Lewis.

Johnson Cody Burks, 35, was arrested Friday on charges of possession of a controlled substance; unlawful possession of a firearm; unlawful possession, transport, manufacture, repair or sale of an illegal weapon; and unlawful use of a weapon by possessing a weapon and a felony controlled substance. He is held on $75,000 bond. Deputy Wardrip.

Derrick Dwayne Bruffett, 36, was arrested Saturday on charges of fourth-degree domestic assault, repeat offense; resisting or interfering with a felony arrest; and unlawful use of a weapon by exhibiting. He was released Sunday on $25,000 bond. Deputy Tessa Jens.

Brent Eric Counsel, 50, was arrested Sunday on a charge of third-degree domestic assault and held on $25,000 bond. Cpl. Brian Jackson.

McKenzie Quinton Surritte, 29, was arrested Sunday on a charge of enticement of a child younger than 15, or attempt, and released the following day on $25,000 bond. West Plains Police Cpl. Thomas Manning.

INCIDENT REPORTS

At 12:52 p.m. Jan. 8, Deputy Webb was dispatched to a home on U.S. 160 east of West Plains for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in a driveway with a man slumped over the steering wheel while the vehicle was running. The reporting party said the driver was not responding to her. The deputy contacted the man, and after concluding he was intoxicated, issued a ticket for DWI.

Deputy John Thomas was dispatched at 3:47 p.m. Jan. 8 to the 5700 block of County Road 2620 in Pomona for property damage. A report was taken.

At 8:15 p.m. Jan. 8, Deputy Robert Talon stopped a vehicle on north U.S. 63 in West Plains. The driver was arrested and booked on a charge of driving while revoked or suspended.

Deputy Malone was notified by dispatch at 10:32 p.m. Jan. 8 of a protection order violation that occurred over text messages. Investigation is ongoing.

At 7:04 p.m. Jan. 9, Deputy Talon Millard took a call from dispatch regarding a possible domestic assault on Jackson Street in West Plains and possible child abuse on County Road 3850 in Peace Valley. An order of protection has been filed against the suspect and charges were sent to the county prosecutor’s office for review.

Deputy Brandon Meacham was dispatched at 8:09 p.m. Jan. 9 to a home on County Road 1770 in West Plains for an open 911 call. Due to no evidence of a physical disturbance and no one wanting to pursue charges, a report was filed but no charges will be sent to the prosecutor.

At 9:02 a.m. Jan. 10, Cpl. Smith was called to respond to a home on County Road 1940 in Peace Valley for a report of a domestic assault. He was advised by dispatch prior to arriving that the parties had been separated. An arrest was made and formal charges are being sought.

Deputy Jacob Hamby was dispatched at 11:02 a.m. Jan. 10 to E Highway in West Plains for a complaint of stealing. A report was taken.

At 2:48 p.m. Jan. 10, Deputy Austin Ryan was notified of someone wishing to file a report of a violation of an order of protection that occurred in the area of County Road 3090 in West Plains. He spoke to the protected party and the suspect and took a report.

Deputy Ryan was notified at 10:09 a.m. Jan. 11 of a victim wanting to report stealing that occurred on the 5000 block of U.S. 160 in West Plains. A report was taken at the sheriff’s office.

At 11:24 a.m. Jan. 11, Deputy Hamby was dispatched to County Road 8680 in West Plains to meet with Children’s Division at a home for a report of child abuse. The suspect was spoken to an information collected for a report. The case will be sent to investigators for follow-up.

Cpl. Smith took a call for service at 11:42 Jan. 11 to speak with someone at the sheriff’s office regarding identity theft. A report was taken and the case is closed.

At 8:29 p.m. Jan. 11, Deputy Wardrip stopped a vehicle in the Signal gas station parking lot in Mtn. View. The case is closed and, because the suspect cooperated, there is nothing further at this time.

Deputy Hamby took a call for service at 7:21 a.m. Friday regarding an assault on County Road 6690 in West Plains. Details were collected for a report and charges will be sent to the county prosecutor for review.

At 10:32 a.m. Friday, Deputy Wardrip reported the Howell County S.W.A.T team executed a search warrant at a home on U.S. 60 in Mtn. View for drugs and weapons. Meth, drug paraphernalia, ammunition and an illegal firearm were reportedly seized and a man was arrested and taken to the county jail. Formal charges have been filed for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of an illegal weapon; the suspect is held on $75,000 bond. Cpl. Smith also responded.

Deputy Jens was dispatched at 7:32 p.m. Saturday to U.S. 160 in Caulfield for a domestic assault in progress. The suspect was identified and arrested, then placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. A report was completed.
