Darian Noel Long, 22, was arrested Jan. 22 on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge and released the following day on $500 cash bond. Jailer Knehans.

Ronnie Lee Tucker was arrested Jan. 22 on a probation violation warrant and held without bond. Deputy James Wardrip.

Steven Joseph Vantine, 40, was arrested Jan. 23 on a charge of driving while revoked or suspended, repeat offense, and released Jan. 25 on $500 bond. Jailer Joshua Knehans.

Jeremy Travis Collins, 35, was arrested Jan. 23 on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge and released Jan. 25 on $300 cash bond. Willow Springs Police Officer Joe Barnhouse.

Elias Garcia, Jr., 33, was arrested Jan. 23 on charges of first-degree felony possession of methamphetamine, theft and being a fugitive from out of state, plus a warrant for failure to appear on a felony charge. He is held on $60,000 bond. Deputy Michael Lewis.

Jamie Lee Adams, 45, was arrested Jan. 24 on charges of second-degree property damage and violating an order of protection. He was released the following day on $5,000 bond. West Plains Police Officer Daiman Meyer.

Michael Edward Scranlin, 46, was arrested Jan. 24 on two warrants for failure to appear on Willow Springs ordinance violation charges. He was released Jan. 26 on $495 cash bond. Officer Barnhouse.

Brittney Lamell Tackitt, 33, was arrested Jan. 24 on a charge of driving while revoked or suspended and released the same day without bond. Deputy Brandon Meacham.

Amanda Elizabeth Reese, 27, was arrested Jan. 24 on a charge of trespassing. She was booked and released without bond the same day. Deputy First Class Jared Hummel.

Brian Keith Smith, 53, was arrested Jan. 25 on a charge of resisting arrest by fleeing, creating substantial risk of injury or death and released the following day on $10,000 bond. Deputy Meacham.

Stephanie Leann Burton, 36, was arrested Jan. 26 on a charge of driving while revoked or suspended and released the same day without bond.

Tyler Copas Eubanks, 24, was arrested Jan. 26 on two warrants for failure to appear on misdemeanor charges and released the same day on $3,000 bond. Missouri State Highway Patrol Tpr. C.C. Battreal.

Lane Donivan Hite, 22, was arrested Jan. 26 on charges of driving while revoked or suspended, giving false information to an officer and driving a vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility. He is held on $692.50 cash bond.

Brandon Kuhlmann, 33, was arrested Jan. 26 on a charge of second-degree domestic assault and held on $5,000 bond.

Kimberly Amanda Cross, 43, was arrested Jan. 27 on a charge of driving while suspended and released the same day without bond. Deputy Wardrip.

Everett Neal Moss, 21, was arrested Jan. 27 on a charge of involuntary manslaughter in the first degree. He was released the same day on $75,000 bond. Jailer Brenton Fine.

Joshua Delane Collins, 36, was arrested Jan. 27 on charges of driving while revoked or suspended and possession of a controlled substance. He is held on $10,300 bond, $300 of which is cash-only. Jailer Knehans.

Samantha Rae Burlin, 26, was arrested Jan. 28 on a warrant for failure to appear on a felony charge and held on $7,500 bond. Sangamon County, Ill., Sheriff’s Deputy Robert Steil.

Justin Glenn Stepp, 33, was arrested Jan. 29 on a charge of third-degree domestic assault and held on $10,000 bond. Jailer Corey Clark.

Stanley M. Reeves, 72, was arrested Jan. 29 on a charge of making a terrorist threat in the first degree. He was released Thursday on $10,000 bond. West Plains Police Officer Jerry Mingus.

Brenda Jewell Ann Marcak, 45, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for failure to appear on a Willow Springs infraction or municipal ordinance violation charge. She was released the same day on $400 bond. West Plains Officer Edward Heuchelin.

Joshua J. Hart, 42, was arrested Tuesday on two probation violation warrants and released Friday on $20,000 bond. Deputy Lewis.

Kirk Alan Hutchinson, 58, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear on a felony charge and released the same day on $1,500 cash bond. Missouri State Highway Patrol Tpr. L.C. Pruiett.

Rayetta Ann Wiggs, 49, was arrested Wednesday on charges of first-degree assault or attempt and third-degree assault involving a special victim. She was released Friday on $100,000 bond. Deputy First Class Hummel.

Scotty Dale Hand, 68, was arrested Thursday on charges of violating probation and unlawful possession of a firearm. He was released the same day on $7,500 bond. Tpr. Pruiett.

Shawn Cameron Singley, 52, was arrested Thursday on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender and released the same day on $5,000 bond. Cpl. Nicholas Bruno.

Chaz Benjamin Brock, 38, was arrested Thursday on charges of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon by possessing one and a felony controlled substance. He is held on $15,000 bond.

April Dawn Gott, 43, was arrested Thursday on charges of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon by possessing one and a felony controlled substance. Jailer Gary Johnson.

Matthew Allan Weant, 29, was arrested Friday on a charge of driving while revoked, then booked and released the same day without bond. Deputy Talon Millard.

Daniela Elizabeth Pazcordona, 21, was arrested Sunday on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge and released the same day on $100 cash bond. Tpr. Pruiett.

Crystal Marie Floyd, 41, was arrested Sunday on a charge of possession, then booked and released without bond the same day. Deputy Ryan.

Kerry Edward Kelsey, 63, was arrested Sunday on a charge of possession, then booked and released without bond the same day. Deputy Ryan.

INCIDENT REPORTS

At 12:44 a.m. Jan. 22, Deputy Timothy Gordon was called into the sheriff’s office lobby to talk with someone about a car that someone wasn’t returning. After that conversation, he contacted the person who had the car and a solution was worked out for that person to return the car to its owner.

Deputy Melanie Roam took a report from dispatch at 9:54 a.m. Jan. 22 regarding theft from a mailbox. The report was filed.

At 10:27 a.m. Jan. 22, a woman called the sheriff’s office to report that she was touched inappropriately while being transported in an ambulance in West Plains. A report was taken by Deputy Dylan Webb and investigation is ongoing.

Deputy Lewis reported at 2:21 p.m. Jan. 22 that, on Jan. 11, he was notified of an assault between two inmates at the county jail. Formal charges are being pursued and the report will be sent to prosecutors.

At 5 p.m. Jan. 22, Deputy John Thomas was dispatched to an accidental shooting on Highway 17 in Mtn. View. A report was taken for documentation and filed.

Deputy Webb was dispatched at 12:14 p.m. Jan. 23 to Kountry Korner gas station in Moody for a forgery complaint. The reporting party said a man tried to buy items with a forged $50 bill. The bill was retained and an investigation is ongoing.

At 1:05 p.m. Jan. 23, Deputy Webb assisted employees of the Missouri Department of Social Services, Children’s Division, with an assessment of a residence off of County Road 8270 in West Plains. The home was subject to allegations of drug possession. A walk-through was conducted and no concerns noted.

Deputy Talon Millard took a call from dispatch at 7:12 p.m. Jan. 23 regarding stealing on Highway 14 in West Plains. No charges have been filed.

At 1:30 p.m. Jan. 24, Deputy Webb assisted Children’s Division with an assessment of a residence on County Road 5150 near Siloam Springs. The home was subject to allegations of drug possession. A walk-through was conducted and no concerns noted.

Deputy First Class Hummel was dispatched at 4:28 p.m. Jan. 24 to County Road 2410 for trespassing. A woman was taken into custody for trespassing and a man was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

At 9:08 p.m. Jan. 24, Deputy Meacham stopped a vehicle on northbound U.S. 63 and issued a ticket on a charge of driving while revoked.

Deputy Robert Malone was dispatched at 4:37 a.m. Jan. 25 to a disturbance call off County Road 3380 in Willow Springs. A suspect was trespassed from the property.

At 8:46 a.m. Jan. 25, Undersheriff Justin Riley was contacted by the Missouri Attorney General’s Office regarding a reported sexual assault that occurred in 2016.

Deputy Thomas was dispatched at 7:26 p.m. Jan. 25 to speak by phone with a resident living near County Road 9796 near Brandsville who had shot a neighbor’s dog. An informational report of second-degree animal trespassing was taken and filed.

At 9:43 a.m. Jna. 26, Deputy Jacob Hamby was dispatched to Kelly Self-Storage on Katherine Street for a report of theft. Contact was made with the victim and details were collected.

Deputy Tessa Jens was advised at 4:06 p.m. Jan. 26 of a woman who wanted to report harassment by her ex-husband. Information was collected for a report which was later completed. At the time, the report is for documentation only per the reporting party’s requisition.

At 3:31 a.m. Jan. 27, Deputy Gordon stopped a vehicle with expired Arkansas plates. It was found that none of the occupants of the vehicle had a valid driver’s license and no one had proof of insurance for the car, so the driver was arrested on a charge of driving while revoked or suspended and secured in the patrol vehicle. The car was towed, and the passenger got a ride. During this time, it was discovered that the driver had thrown a small plastic bag containing suspected meth residue on the floor of the patrol vehicle; the bag reportedly field-tested positive for meth and was taken for evidence. The driver was taken to the jail, where she was ticketed, then booked and released on charges of driving while revoked or suspended and possessing drug paraphernalia. A probable cause statement will be forwarded to the county prosecutor’s office.

Deputy Hamby was dispatched at 1:04 p.m. Jan. 27 to Katherine Street for a theft report. Details were collected. No suspect has been identified.

At 12:06 a.m. Jan. 28, Mercy St. Francis Hospital employee in Mtn. View contacted the sheriff’s office to report a dog bite that occurred at County Road 4540 near Pomona. The victim was contacted at home and a report was completed. Cpl. Dakota Millard.

Deputy Austin Ryan was notified at 10:05 a.m. Jan. 28 of a victim at the sheriff’s office wanting to file a report regarding a rape in the area of K Highway in West Plains. The case is under investigation.

At 11:33 a.m. Jan. 28, Cpl. Seth Smith was called to a residence on County Road 6380 for a complaint of stealing. A report was taken and the case is closed.

Deputy Hamby was dispatched t 12:50 p.m. Jan. 28 to AB Highway for property damage. The victim was spoken to and details were collected for a report.

At 11:32 a.m. Jan. 29, Deputy Hamby received a call for service initially for a report of an auto theft, but the case turned out to involve an assault on County Road 4350 in Pomona. Details were collected for a report and charges will be sent to the county prosecutor.

Deputy Roam was dispatched at 7:37 a.m. Tuesday to the sheriff’s office lobby for a person who wanted to report a violation of an order of protection. The suspect was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

At 8 p.m. Tuesday, Cpl. Brian Jackson was advised of active arrest warrants for two people living off of County Road 6690. While serving the warrants, a consent search was made of the home, and a controlled substance was reportedly found.

Deputy Meacham was dispatched at 8:35 p.m. Tuesday to a home on Illinois Avenue in Brandsville for a well-being check. The subject of the check was found safe and no crime had occurred. A report was made for documentation.

At 3 a.m. Wednesday, Deputy Malone stopped a vehicle on County road 7870 in Caulfield. The driver was ticketed on a charge of driving while revoked and released.

Deputy Webb took a walk-in report at 11:19 a.m. Wednesday at the sheriff’s office regarding a possible violation of an order of protection. After speaking with the reporting party, it was determined a violation had not occurred, but a report was still completed for documentation.

At 1:05 p.m. Wednesday, Cpl. Jackson responded to a call from dispatch regarding a physical domestic disturbance at a home on County Road 3450 in Mtn. View. The parties were separated and a man was placed on a 96-hour hold.

Cpl. Bruno and Willow Springs Ambulance personnel responded at 3:26 p.m. Wednesday to a home on County Road 3340 in Willow Springs for a report of an unresponsive man. Life-saving measures were taken and the man was pronounced dead on the scene. No signs of trauma were present and the death is believed to be of natural causes.

On Wednesday, Cpl. Jackson applied for a search warrant at a home on County Road 4620, which was executed at midnight and into Thursday, resulting in the seizure of several illegal items.

Jailer Tyler Gil was notified at 12:25 p.m. Thursday of an outstanding warrant out of Arkansas Community Corrections for an inmate of the Howell County Jail. A charge of being a fugitive from out of state will be filed with the Howell County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

At 2:07 p.m. Thursday, Deputy Webb took a phone report regarding a stolen jack stand from property on MM Highway in West Plains.

Deputy First Class Hummel was dispatched at 6:14 p.m. Thursday to a home on County Road 2380 for a disturbance. Criminal charges pertaining to domestic assault will be forwarded to the county prosecutor’s office for review.

At 6:19 p.m. Friday, Deputy Meacham stopped a vehicle at Star Mart gas station in Pomona, resulting in a ticket being issued.

Deputy Ryan was dispatched at 10:29 a.m. Saturday to speak with a victim in the sheriff’s office lobby regarding a violation of an order of protection after receiving a threatening voicemail from the person against whom the order was issued. A report was taken.

At 3:03 p.m. Saturday, Deputy Jens was advised by dispatch of a possible house fire on County Road 7890, set by an intoxicated man. When she spoke to the reporting party, she was advised the fire was able to be extinguished before spreading. Information was taken for a written report along with photos. The victim did not want to press charges and the person who set the fire was taken to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for a 96-hour hold for a mental health evaluation.

Deputy Jens was advised by dispatch at 12:37 p.m. Sunday of a domestic disturbance on County Road 4210. The reporting party said she and her boyfriend had been verbally arguing, then he shoved her several times and she slapped him in the face once. Information was collected for a written report. No injuries were observed on either party and no charges will be filed at this time.

At 4:18 p.m. Sunday, Deputy Ryan stopped a vehicle on County Road 1280 in West Plains, resulting in the arrests of two occupants on charges of possession of a controlled substance. The substance, suspected to be methamphetamine, will be sent to the patrol crime lane for testing.

Cpl. Millard was dispatched at 7:08 p.m. Sunday to Z Highway near Willow Springs for a report of a disturbance. He spoke to the reporting party who said a verbal argument had happened, but the other person had already left. A report was taken.

At 7:20 p.m. Sunday, Deputy Shaun Duggins was called to the sheriff’s office to take a report of a youth assaulting a caretaker.
