ARRESTS

Mikayla Rose Hewitt, 22, was arrested Feb. 13 on charges of second-degree burglary and stealing a vehicle. She was held on $10,000 bond. Jailer Hunter Lewis.

Steven Donald Wayne Evans, 32, was arrested Feb. 14 on a charge of first-degree property damage and released the following day on $5,000 bond. Jailer Joshua Knehans.

Christopher Allen Wright, 41, was arrested Feb. 14 on charges of keeping or maintaining a public nuisance, possession of a controlled substance and second-degree drug trafficking. He was released Feb. 16 on $250,000 bond. West Plains Police Officer Jacob Brixey.

Justin M. Kimbell, 40, was arrested Feb. 14 on a warrant for failure to appear on a felony charge and released the same day on $15,000 bond. Willow Springs Police Officer Joby Hoopes.

Ryan Wade Amyx, 36, was arrested Feb. 15 on a charge of second-degree burglary and held on $5,000 bond. Deputy Hunter Ward.

David Mark Colin, 50, was arrested Feb. 16 on a probation violation warrant and released Monday without bond. Deputy Ward.

Jeremy Travis Collins, 35, was arrested Feb. 16 on a charge of driving while revoked or suspended and released Saturday on $90 bond. Jailer Lewis.

Christopher Dean Richardson, 34, was arrested Feb. 16 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released the following day on $5,000 bond. West Plains Officer Robert Shell.

Michael Bradley Gillham, 27, was arrested Feb. 16 on a felony charge of receiving stolen property and released the following day on $10,000 bond. West Plains Officer Robert Shell.

Jackie L. Bruffett, 42, was arrested Saturday on charges of armed criminal action, two counts, and first-degree domestic assault involving serious physical injury. She is held without bond. Deputy Robert Malone.

Johnathan Roy Baugh, 39, was arrested Saturday on charges of driving while revoked or suspended, failure to register vehicle and driving a vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility. He was released the same day on $1,400 bond. Mtn. View Police Officer Kylie McGee.

Larry Dean Cotter, 75, was arrested Saturday on a charge of making a second-degree terrorist threat and released Monday without bond.

Ricky Allen Maggard, 62, was arrested Sunday on two warrants for failure to appear and released the same day on $1,500 bond, $500 of which was cash. Deputy Brandon Meacham.

Shane Henry Carson, 32, was arrested Monday on two warrants for failure to appear on Mtn. View ordinance violation charges and held on $1,600 cash bond. West Plains Cpl. Thomas Manning.

Michael James Tackitt, 44, was arrested Monday on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge and released Wednesday on $500 cash bond. Deputy Michael Lewis.

Michael Andrew Murphy, 33, was arrested Monday on a Nebraska warrant for failure to appear on a felony charge, plus a charge of being a fugitive from out of state. He is held on $50,000 bond. Deputy Timothy Gordon.

Andrew Lee Parsons, 37, was arrested Monday on a warrant for failure to appear on a felony charge and released Wednesday on $10,000 bond. Deputy Lewis.

Tracy Marie Grogan, 36, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for failure to appear on a felony charge and released the same day on $5,000 bond. Deputy Jordon Collins.

Quintin Lee Wake, 30, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of first-degree burglary and released the same day on $10,000 bond. Deputy Corey Clark.

Kyla Nachelle Priele, 33, was arrested Wednesday on two warrants for failure to appear on felony charges and held on $25,000 bond. Cpl. Seth Smith.

INCIDENT REPORTS

At 12:58 p.m. Feb. 13, Deputy Jacob Hamby was dispatched to County Road 6690 in West Plains to meet with Children’s Division staff at a home to ensure a child’s safety. The homeowner, a suspect, was spoken to and information collected for a report. The case was sent to investigators for follow-up.

Deputy James Wardrip was dispatched at 6:59 p.m. Feb. 13 to a home on County Road 2390 in Mtn. View to take a report of possible child abuse. He spoke to an employee with Children’s Division who told the child’s parent and stepparent to allow the child to stay where she was for the night until Children’s Division could come out and investigate the situation.

At 7:34 p.m. Feb. 13, Deputy Gordon was assigned to a case concerning harassment and threats on social media. After reviewing the messages, he concluded they did not rise to a prosecutable level.

Cpl. Smith received a call at 10:39 a.m. Feb. 14 at the Howell County Sheriff’s Office regarding a missing person. A report was taken and the person was entered in the law enforcement database as missing.

At 8:56 p.m. Feb. 14, Deputy Gordon was dispatched to a home in the Dora area to take a report of a damaged mailbox. Due to a lack of information, there was not enough evidence to pursue charges.

Deputy Adriel Lisboa was dispatched at 10 a.m. Feb. 15 to serve a court order for a 96-hour-medical hold on a person at Ozarks Healthcare.

At 12:06 p.m. Feb. 15, Deputy Dylan Webb took a walk-in report at the sheriff’s office regarding property damage. The reporting party said he believed someone damaged his vehicle’s windshield wiper while the vehicle was parked in his driveway. A report was taken and an investigation is ongoing.

Deputy Talon Millard was dispatched at 10:24 p.m. Feb. 15 to County Road 8320 in West Plains for a call regarding a possibly deceased man. The man was deceased, and the body was taken by Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

At 3:12 a.m. Saturday, Deputy Talon was dispatched to Jefferson Avenue in Brandsville for a domestic assault call. A suspect was arrested and taken to the county jail on a charge of first-degree domestic assault.

Deputy Malone was dispatched at 3:36 p.m. Saturday to County Road 7890 in Caulfield for a disturbance. A suspect was arrested on a charge of making a terrorist threat and taken to the county jail.

At 11:11 a.m. Monday, Deputy Hamby took a walk-in report at the sheriff’s office regarding a violation of an order of protection. Details were collected for the report and charges will be sent to the county prosecutor for review.

Deputy Austin Ryan was notified at 11:56 a.m. Monday of a person wanting to file a report concerning a phone company dropping a phone line on her vehicle and damaging it. A report was taken at the sheriff’s office.

At 3:26 p.m. Monday, Deputy Hunter Ward and Cpl. Seth Smith were notified at the sheriff’s office of an alleged identity theft. The case is pending further investigation.

Deputy Devon Mendenhall was notified at 4:32 p.m. Monday of a person who wanted to report theft that occurred in previous weeks. He spoke to the person and a report was taken.

At 8:48 p.m. Monday, Deputy Gordon stopped an SUV with no license plate lights or third brake light at the intersection of Ash Street and East Fifth Street in Mtn. View. When he ran the driver’s information through the law enforcement database, he found the driver’s privileges to be suspended, plus the driver was wanted on a full-extradition, no-bond warrant out of Nebraska. The driver was arrested, taken to the county jail and booked on the active warrant. Formal charges are pending.

Deputy Ryan was notified at 8:35 a.m. Tuesday of a person who wanted to report property damage that occurred in the area of County Road 8670 in West Plains. He contacted the victim and took a report. The case is under investigation.

At 3:31 p.m. Tuesday, Deputy Ward was notified of a suspicious fire on County Road 6420. A report was taken for information.
