A 49-year-old man from Hardy, Ark., perished as a result of injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash at noon Tuesday in rural Clay County in northeastern Arkansas, according to the Arkansas State Police.

Cpl. Nicholas Poulsen with Troop C of the state police, Jonesboro, reported Timothy D. Evans was the driver of a 2001 Chevrolet traveling north on U.S. 67 when it crossed the center line and struck an oncoming 2022 International truck on the driver’s side, then came to rest in the middle of the road. The International stopped on the southbound shoulder, Poulsen reported, and no injuries were reported for the driver.
