May 2 – Academic Symposium, 4 p.m., West Plains Civic Center mezzanine. This year’s theme is “Astronomy in Ozark Heritage” and will feature presentations by students, academics and community members. Admission free. For more information, contact the academic affairs office at 417-255-7272.
May 2 – Alumni and Friends Picnic hosted by the university advancement office at the West Plains Civic Center exhibit hall. Join us for an evening of fun and food celebrating our students, alumni, faculty/staff and MSU System President Clif Smart. May 11 – 2024 Commencement Ceremony, 2 p.m., West Plains Civic Center arena. Everyone welcome.
May 14 – Journagan Ranch Roundup, 5:30 p.m., at the ranch near Mountain Grove. Alumni and friends of the Springfield, West Plains and Mountain Grove campuses are invited to enjoy a barbecue dinner and scenic tours of the largest purebred Hereford herd owned by a university in the nation.
