A woman from Mtn. Home, Ark, died of injuries suffered in a crash at 6 p.m. Saturday on Highway 341 in Lone Rock, Baxter County, Ark., about 18 miles south of Mtn. Home, according to the Arkansas State Police.
Senior Cpl. Mark. Morton with Troop I of the state police, Harrison, reported Stephanie Lynn Bay, 53, was a passenger a 2008 Honda motorcycle driven by Joe Deen, 55, also of Mtn. Home. The Honda, which was northbound, reportedly struck a large rock in the road, causing the motorcycle to loose control, run off the right side of the road and strike a road sign.
The report does not indicate whether the occupants wore helmets; Deen was injured in the crash and taken to Baxter Health in Mtn. Home. Bay’s remains were held at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, the report shows.
