Oreo, a cat currently at the West Plains Regional Animal Shelter, 1486 BB Highway, would like to be an “only child,” says volunteer Trish Hammen. “She was adopted before and was not nice to the other cats,” Hammen explained. “Oreo loves people, just not other cats.” The cat is about a year old, and is spayed and current on shots. The fee to adopt is $45. Hammen said the facility continues to need donations for the inside construction of the new shelter building, located on the same property as the existing building.
