This “handsome” orange-and-white male tabby cat is named George, and is about 6 months old, shares West Plains Regional Animal Shelter volunteer Trish Hammen, adding, “George is very outgoing, playful and very energetic. He would like a home with kids to chase him around and play with him.” The fee to adopt is $45 and includes the cost of neutering and vaccinations. Hammen invites all to visit the shelter at 1486 BB Highway and check out the new facility and and meet the residents, which include cats and dogs. Donations continue to be accepted for the inside of the new building, and Hammen expresses thanks to those who have already contributed. Shelter hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
