Following a meeting of the Texas County Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees on Feb. 6, Stace Holland, who served as CEO of the hospital starting in November 2022, is no longer employed at TCMH, officials announce. Holland took on the role upon the retirement of longtime CEO Wes Murray.
Board members unanimously voted in favor of the employment decision, said officials. Following the vote, the board appointed Bill Bridges as interim CEO to oversee the hospital's daily operations. Bridges has worked at TCMH for 33 years and has most recently served as the director of emergency medical services.
“We have and always will try to do what’s best for the employees and the patients of this hospital,” said trustees in a statement issued Feb. 7. Board members asked Bridges to assist them in moving the hospital forward during the transition.
Retention and recruitment of medical staff are top priorities at TCMH, officials said, noting the surgery department completion and other projects will continue as planned.
