Thomasville community celebrates 'Autumn Days'

Posted

TJ Swift House employees, along with Tracey Hollis and her family, say they love Thomasville’s tradition of hosting family-centered activities. So they decided to hold an event themselves.

They hosted the inaugural “Autumn Days,” on Sept. 23 at the Thomasville Community Center and said, “It went great!” The event is hoped to become an annual affair.

Live entertainment included two bands, Molly & Co. Bluegrass and Dawson Hollow. Activities included duck races, backyard games, a chili cook-off, a cornhole tournament, face painting and pumpkin painting, plus the kids were able to play on the brand-new playground recently granted to the Thomasville Community Center. A fireworks display ended the evening.

All proceeds raised at the event will go to the Thomasville Community Center.
