ARRESTS

Tyler Vincent Winters, 23, was arrested Dec. 25 on a charge of fourth-degree domestic assault and released the following day without bond. Officer Jerry Mingus.

Alissa Anne Maloy, 34, was arrested Dec. 26 on a warrant for failure to appear and released the same day on $200 bond. Officer Austin Deshazo.

John William Johnson, 52, was arrested Dec. 26 on charges of first-degree property damage and felony stealing. He was released the following day without bond. Officer Jacob Brixey.

Tiffany Dawn Dusenbury, 38, was arrested Dec. 26 on charges of first-degree property damage and felony stealing. She was released the following day without bond. Officer Brent Keepes.

Joshua Ray Green, 40, was arrested Dec. 27 on three warrants fo failure to appear and released Friday on $1,100 cash-only bond. Officer Edward Heuchelin.

Miera Paris Thomas, 30, was arrested Dec. 27 on charges of disorderly conduct, an equipment violation, failure to obey a lawful order and resisting arrest. She was released Friday on $200 bond. Officer Keepes.

Benjamin Nathaniel Boucher, 39, was arrested Dec. 27 on a charge of second-degree statutory rape and released the following day without bond. Officer Nathaniel Siegrist.

Andrew Allen Stemper, 31, was arrested Dec. 28 warrant for failure to appear and charges of being a fugitive from out of state and resisting or interfering with a felony arrest. He was released from local custody without bond. Sgt. Josh Wichowski.

Justice Blake Martin, 19, was arrested Friday on five warrants for failure to appear and released the following day on $727.50 cash-only bond. Howell County Sheriff’s Office.

Rebekah Alissa Burke, 31, was arrested Saturday on a warrant for failure to appear and is held on $815.44 cash-only bond. Howell County Sheriff’s Cpl. Nicholas Bruno.

Jeremiah Joshua Johns, 37, was arrested Sunday on eight warrants for failure to appear and is held on $1,900 bond, $700 of which is cash-only. Cpl. Brandon Stephens.

Sylvia Lynn Owens, 40, was arrested Sunday on charges of stealing, two counts, and possession of a controlled substance. She is held on $11,025 bond, $225 of which is cash-only. Cpl. Stephens.

Dustin Lee Helton, 36, was arrested Sunday on charges of assault, disorderly conduct, failure to obey a lawful order and resisting arrest. He is held on $6,500 bond. Officer Brixey.

INCIDENT REPORTS

Officers were dispatched at 12:44 p.m Christmas Day to a call of a burglary in progress near the 1300 block of Lanton Road. A man was contacted and a report was taken. The man was later taken to Ozarks Healthcare and placed on a 96-hour mental health evaluation hold. Officer Robert Shell.

At 1:10 p.m. Dec. 25, Officer Ivie Powell responded to the 900 block of Second Street for a call regarding found property. The reporting party said her son found a damaged Chromebook in a ditch. The computer was taken to the police station and placed into evidence.

Officers were dispatched at 8:40 p.m. Christmas Day to the 700 block of Joe Jones Boulevard for a domestic assault. A man was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. Officer Mingus.

At 3:24 a.m. Dec. 26, Officer Daiman Meyer conducted a business check on the 1300 block of Preacher Roe, and in the process, encountered a man wanted on multiple arrest warrants. As the man was unable to post bond, he was taken to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office for further processing.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a lighting violation at 4:18 a.m. Dec. 26, resulting in the driver being issued four tickets and released to the Howell County Jail for an active warrant. Officer Heuchelin.

At 6:31 a.m. Dec. 26, Officer Meyer was dispatched to the 1600 block of U.S. 63 for a crash on private property. It was learned the driver of one vehicle had struck another vehicle earlier that morning and left the scene. The case is considered closed due to a lack of suspects and camera footage.

Officer Deshazo responded at 10:03 a.m. Dec. 26 to the 1300 block of Bill Virdon Boulevard for found property. The item was returned to its owner.

At 2:14 p.m Dec. 26, officers traveled to the 2700 block of Burke Avenue to serve an arrest warrant. A woman was arrested and taken to the city jail for booking. Officer Deshazo.

At 4:19 p.m. Dec. 26, the Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force assisted the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department in serving four search warrants regarding the sexual exploitation of children. Several items were seized as evidence and investigation continues. Detective Joe Neuschwander.

Officers were on patrol at 6:20 p.m. Dec. 26 near Girdley Street and conducted a traffic stop. A man was arrested and taken to the city jail for fingerprinting and booking, then released on a a court summons for a charge of not having a required license. Officer Shell.

Officers conducted a traffic stop at 7:41 p.m Dec. 26 at the intersection of U.S. 63 and K Highway, resulting in a woman being arrested on a charge of driving while suspended, taken to the city jail and later released with a court summons. Officer Brixey.

At 9:15 p.m. Dec. 26, Officer Mingus was dispatched to Laundry Land on Porter Wagoner Boulevard for property damage. It was determined a man and woman allegedly committed felony property damage to a coin-operated machine and stole money from it. Both suspects were identified, arrested and placed on 24-hour holds pending formal charges.

Officers stopped a vehicle at 2:44 a.m. Dec. 27 on County Road 1770 for a lighting violation. The driver was issued two tickets and arrested on active warrants. Office Heuchelin.

At 8:36 a.m. Dec. 27, officers responded to the 2000 block of Rhonda Drive for property damage. A report and investigation was conducted and officers await further information. Cpl. Manning.

Officer Deshazo responded at 9:51 a.m. Dec. 27 to the 1100 block of Grace Avenue to take a report of stealing. The case is closed due to a lack of evidence.

At 12:24 p.m. Dec. 27, the Howell County Sheriff’s Office referred an investigation to the Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force concerning the sexual exploitation of children and involving a girl in rural Howell County. The investigation is ongoing. Detective Neuschwander.

Officers saw a man leave a known “drug house” at 1:18 p.m Dec. 27, located on the 500 block of Harlin Drive. A pedestrian check was conducted and officers were given consent to search the man, and during the search, found multiple illicit items. The man was arrested for those items. Cpl. Manning.

At 3:11 p.m. Dec. 27, officers were notified of license plates stolen from the 500 block of Harlin Drive. The case is under investigation. Officer Siegrist.

Officers were on patrol at 3:46 p.m. Dec. 27 at Casey’s General Store on St. Louis St. A woman with an active warrant was at the business. She reportedly resisted arrest and failed to obey a lawful order and was subsequently taken into custody. Officer Keepes.

At 3:54 p.m. Dec. 127, Officer Brixey responded to a report of trespassing on the 700 block of Pamela Drive. He took a report and a suspect was identified and located. The suspect was found to have a suspended driver’s license, and arrested and taken to the city jail, from where he was later released with a court summons.

Officer Brixey was dispatched at 6:50 p.m. Dec. 27 to Walmart to take a report of found property. The property was secured and placed into evidence for safekeeping, pending owner retrieval.

At 11:17 p.m. Dec. 27, Sgt. Josh Wichowski responded to a home on the the 1100 block of Lanton Road after a person contacted the mental health crisis hotline for help. He counseled the man, who was later taken to Ozarks Healthcare’s emergency room and placed on a 96-hour mental health evaluation hold.

Officer Meyer responded at 11:49 p.m. Dec. 27 to the 200 block of Maple Street for an ongoing disturbance. Both parties involved were found to be intoxicated and wanted to be separated. He provided a courtesy ride to one of them. The case is closed as no crime was committed.

At 9:12 a.m. Dec. 28, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of West Olden Street for a suicidal person. Officer Chris Barrett spoke with someone who said he had consumed some medication, and arranged transportation to Ozarks Healthcare for a mental health evaluation.

At 11:43 a.m. Dec. 28, Officer Whitley Clark reported that at 3:46 a.m. that day, officers responded to the parking lot of Richards School to assist another agency with a report that a full-size red pickup truck did donuts in the parking lot and caused damage. Two males were identified as suspects, and the case is closed pending further information.

Officer Siegrist conducted a traffic stop at 5:10 p.m. Dec. 28 at Girdley Street and Old Airport Road. The driver was found not to have a valid license, and was arrested, fingerprinted and released with a ticket.

At 6:22 p.m. Dec. 28, Officer Brixey responded to a residence on the 500 block of Harlin Drive to serve arrests warrants on a woman said to be there. She was located, arrested and taken to the Howell County Jail.

Cpl. Stuart responded at 7:18 p.m. Dec. 28 to fire call on the 600 block of Missouri Avenue. It was found that a person had lit a bonfire in a parking lot behind a business. The person was ticketed on a charge of illegal burning and removed from the property.

At 9:12 p.m. Dec. 28, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Summit Street for a call regarding an assault. A probable cause statement was completed and forwarded to the county prosecutor’s office. Officer Siegrist.

Officer Meyer responded at 11:03 p.m. Dec. 28 to the 500 block of Porter Wagoner Blvd. for an ongoing disturbance. He found two people in a domestic relationship had an argument, but nothing physical occurred. They were advised to separate for the rest of the night. The case is closed as no crime was committed.

At 11:44 p.m. Dec. 28, while on routine patrol in the area of the 300 block of West First Street, Sgt. Wichowski saw a man on a blue BMX-style bicycle. The man was contacted and found to be a fugitive from out of state. He allegedly resisted arrest, but was ultimately arrested, placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges of resisting arrest for a felony and being a fugitive from out of state, which will be pending through the county prosecutor’s office.

Officer Meyer was on neighborhood patrol at 2:25 a.m. Friday in the area of the 300 block of Porter Wagoner Boulevard when he saw a door that appeared to have a forcibly broken-out window. He photographed the scene, but was unable to find any suspects. The case is closed due to a lack of evidence and suspects.

At 3:25 a.m. Friday, Sgt. Wichowski responded to West Plains Motel for a complaint of a disturbance. It was learned a misdemeanor domestic assault had occurred. Both parties involved were intoxicated and neither wanted to pursue charges; they were counseled and separated for the rest of the evening and a report was completed for documentation.

A man visited the police station at 1:28 p.m. Friday to report someone stole and forged one of his checks in the amount of $740. The case is under investigation and charges are expected in the near future. Detective Jeremy Pounders.

At 1:28 p.m. Friday, Officer Barrett spoke to an employee of a business in the 1400 block of Southern Hills Shopping Center who said a man purchased an item but had not paid for it or returned it to the store.

Officers were dispatched at 8:38 p.m. Friday to the 1100 block of Lanton Road for a verbal domestic disturbance. No physical altercation occurred, it was found; two men had been arguing. They were separated for the night. Officer Keepes.

At 9:37 p.m. Friday, Officer Mingus was dispatched the 2500 block of Paula Drive for a domestic assault call. It was learned that the reporting party was not the victim, but the suspect. Charges were sent to the prosecutor due to the series of events that occurred.

Officer Meyer conducted a traffic stop at 1:28 a.m. Saturday on Porter Wagoner Boulevard, and found the driver to be intoxicated. The driver was arrested, taken to the city jail, booked and processed. The case was referred to the county prosecutor’s office for review.

At 1:30 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to an address on West Trish Knight Street for a person who would not leave. When officers arrived the person was seen assaulting another person, and when officers intervened, the person assaulted an officer. An arrest was made after the person was subdued with a Taser. Cpl. Officer Deshazo responded at 11:54 a.m. Saturday to the 500 block of Chippeway Street for a harassment complaint. He found the incident was part of a neighborhood feud. Complaint forms were signed by the parties involved and the case was forwarded to the municipal court for review.

At 3:52 p.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of East First Street for stolen property. The case is under investigation. Officer Siegrist.

Officers were on patrol at 4:23 p.m. Saturday near the 1000 block of Porter Wagoner Boulevard and saw a man known to be wanted on active warrants. The man fled the scene, but was later located. Charges will be sent to the municipal court.

At 2:39 a.m. Sunday, officers conducting business checks found an unlocked door on the 1600 block of U.S. 63. There were no signs of foul play and the business was secured. Cpl. Stuart.

A man was arrested at 11:29 a.m. Sunday at Southern Hills Shopping Center on eight active West Plains and Mtn. View municipal warrants. In the process of arresting the man, officers allegedly found suspected narcotics in his possession. The man is in custody at the city jail. Cpl. Stephens.

At 1:19 p.m. Sunday, while patrolling Whispering Pines Trailer Park on K Highway, Cpl. Stephens saw a woman wanted on multiple arrest warrants. She was taken into custody and is held on two city warrants and an active felony warrant out of Howell County.

Officers were dispatched at 3:35 p.m. Sunday to the police station for a complaint of stealing. A probable cause statement was completed and forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor’s office. Officer Siegrist.

At 6:09 p.m. Sunday, Officer Brixey stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Harlin Drive and Preacher Roe Boulevard. During the traffic stop, a passenger got out of the vehicle, assaulted the officer and fled on foot. The passenger was arrested, taken to the city jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges, a request for which has been forwarded to the city prosecutor.
