ARRESTS

Katherine La See Gunter, 44, was arrested Jan. 8 on a charge of not having a required license and released the same day without bond. Officer Robert Shell.

Michael Jay Lewis, Jr., was arrested Jan. 8 on two warrants for failure to appear, plus a charge of not having a required license. He was released the following day on $726 cash-only bond. Officer Jacob Brixey.

Cezanne Louise Chavez, 23, was arrested Jan. 9 on three warrants for failure to appear and released the following day on $1,600 bond. Missouri State Highway Patrol Tpr. C.C. Battreal.

Jordan M. Dalrymple, 24, was arrested Jan. 9 on a warrant for failure to appear and released the same day without bond. Cpl. Thomas Manning.

Brandon Sanchez, 29, was arrested Jan. 10 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released the same day without bond. Officer Chris Barrett.

Amy Nicole Poyner, 35, was arrested Jan. 10 on a warrant for failure to appear and placed on a 24-hour hold. She was released the following day without bond. Cpl. Brent McKemie.

Steven Donald Wayne Evans, 32, was arrested Jan. 10 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released the same day without bond. Cpl. McKemie.

Megan Loftis, 33, was arrested Jan. 10 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released the same day without bond. Cpl. McKemie.

Terry Ann Richardson, 56, was arrested Jan. 10 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released the same day without bond.

Ryan Robert Bouse, 38, was arrested Jan. 10 on a warrant for failure to appear and released the same day on $200 bond. Cpl. Manning.

Donald Baker, 39, was arrested Jan. 11 on a charge of stealing and released the same day without bond. Officer Ivie Powell.

Cerike Blake Runnels, 23, was arrested Jan. 11 on three warrants for failure to appear and released Jan. 12 on $1,100 bond. Cpl. Brandon Stephens.

Tobias Lee Campbell, 27, was arrested Jan. 11 on a charge of driving while intoxicated and released the same day without bond. Sgt. Brandon Romans.

Brianna Kaye Walters, 27, was arrested Jan. 12 on four warrants for failure to appear and held on $2,750 cash-only bond. Cpl. Stephens.

Landon David Huckabee, 18, was arrested Jan. 13 on a charge of being a minor visibly intoxicated and held without bond. Officer Daiman Meyer.

McKenzie Surritte, 29, was arrested Jan. 13 on a charge of enticement of a child younger than 15 or attempt. He was released Monday without bond. Cpl. Manning.

INCIDENT REPORTS

School Resource Officer Conner Burns reported at 11:16 a.m. Jan. 8 officers were dispatched to the area of West Plains High School for a report of youths with nicotine products. The case is under investigation.

At 4:18 p.m. Jan. 8, Cpl. Manning conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle known to be associated with narcotics and the driver was arrested on a charge of driving while revoked.

Officer Jerry Mingus was dispatched at 6:04 p.m. Jan. 8 to the police station to take a report of a youth who assaulted a juvenile officer who was attempting to detain the youth.

At 7:42 p.m. Jan. 8, officers on patrol near Elmore Drive stopped a vehicle, resulting in the arrest of the driver, who was taken to the city jail for booking and fingerprinting, then released with a ticket for not having a required license. Officer Shell.

Officers were dispatched at 9:27 p.m. Jan. 8 to the 1300 block of Preacher Roe Boulevard for a complaint of stealing. A report was taken. Officer Shell.

At 10:13 p.m. Jan. 8, officers stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation on Second Street. The driver and a passenger were arrested. The driver was taken into custody on a charge of driving while suspended, and the passenger was wanted on multiple Howell County warrants. Cpl. Manning.

Officer Jesse Martin was dispatched at 1:07 a.m. Jan. 9 to the civic center for an alarm. A search of the building was conducted and an open door was found. The door was secured and nothing seemed amiss.

At 7:22 a.m. Jan. 9, Officer Austin Deshazo responded to a business on the 1800 block of Porter Wagoner Blvd. for a stealing complaint. A report was taken and the case is open and active pending further investigation.

Cpl. McKemie stopped a vehicle at 10:29 a.m. Jan. 9 on U.S. 63 for a registration violation. The driver was found to have suspended privileges and arrested, booked, then released with tickets.

At 1:23 p.m. Jan. 9, Sgt. Romans was dispatched to a business on Bruce Smith Parkway for an alarm. A door was found to be ajar. The business was cleared and secured.

Cpl. Manning at 2:26 p.m. Jan. 9 observed a vehicle belonging to a person wanted on active warrants parked at a place where the wanted person was known to work. He went into the business and found the subject, who was later arrested on the active warrants and taken to the city jail for booking before later bonding out.

At 2:43 p.m. Jan. 9, officers were dispatched to the area of West Plains High School for a youth sending a threatening message. The case will be referred to the Juvenile Office. SRO Burnes.

Cpl. Wes Stuart responded at 5:52. p.m. to Perry’s Barbershop for a found California ID, which he placed into evidence for safekeeping at the police station until the owner can be located.

At 6:50 p.m. Jan. 9, officers stopped a vehicle on Gibson Avenue that seemed to be operated by an impaired driver. A K-9 partner was deployed and found multiple items of drug paraphernalia. The driver was arrested and taken to the city jail for booking, then released with a ticket pending charges. Cpl. Manning.

Officers responded at 11:15 p.m. Jan. 9 to the 500 block of Porter Wagoner Boulevard for a report of a verbal domestic disturbance. No physical fight was reported. A report was completed for documentation. Cpl. Stuart.

At 1:06 a.m. Jan. 10, Officer Meyer responded to Burgoyne Street for a report of a violation of an order of protection. The victim advised the suspect had left. The case is open and active pending a formal interview with the suspect.

Police officers executed a search warrant for drugs at 10:39 a.m. Jan. 10 on the 300 block of West Maple Street. Vehicles at the premises were found to have drug paraphernalia inside of them and the two people who owned the vehicles were arrested and taken to the city jail, issued a court summons and released. In addition, suspected illegal drugs, four firearms and money believed to be affiliated with drug sales were reportedly found, resulting in the arrests of two more people who were taken to the city jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges. At 11:53 a.m. Jan. 10, Officer Deshazo responded to the police station to take a report of stealing. The victim reported a debit/credit device had been stolen. The case is considered open pending further investigation.

Officers served an arrest warrant at 2:48 p.m. Jan. 10 at the police station, resulting in a man being taken into custody. He later bonded out. Cpl. Manning.

At 4:43 p.m. Jan. 10, officers were dispatched to the police station for a complaint of stealing. An investigation was completed and forwarded to detectives for follow-up. Cpl. Manning.

Officers stopped a vehicle without registration at 7:12 p.m. Jan. 10 on Trish Knight Street. The driver was released with a warning, but charges are pending for suspected controlled substances found in the vehicle. Cpl. Manning.

At 8:32 p.m. Jan. 10, Cpl. Stuart responded to the 1000 block of Nicholas drive in reference to threats being made. A report was completed for the case, logged as first-degree domestic assault with attempt to kill, and investigation is ongoing.

Officers stopped a vehicle at 10:22 p.m. Jan. 10 at the intersection of Bill Virdon Boulevard and the U.S. 63 bypass, resulting in the driver being arrested on a charge of driving while revoked, taken to the police station and released with a court date. Officer Brent Keepes.

At 1:10 a.m. Jan. 11, Officer Meyer responded to the 200 block of Leyda Street for a report of harassment. The victim reported a person who had been told not to contact her had continued trying to contact her. The suspect was found, arrested, booked and released with a ticket.

Officers were dispatched at 3:16 a.m. Jan. 11 to the 300 block of Walker Street for a well-being check. An elderly woman at the residence was found to be struggling with everyday quality-of-life issues. An informational report was completed and the incident was hotlined. Officer Meyer.

At 3:35 a.m. Jan. 11, Officer Meyer received from a citizen property that had been found on the 400 block of Jefferson Avenue. The property is being held for safekeeping as its owner is unknown.

The Ozark County Sheriff’s Department requested police assistance at 7:19 a.m. Jan. 11 with an investigation into a missing person within that jurisdiction. Investigation is ongoing. Detective Joe Neuschwander.

At 8:19 a.m. Jan. 11, Officer Powell responded to a business on the 700 block of Kentucky Avenue for a report of a man stealing items. The man was located and arrested on a charge of shoplifting, and trespassed from the property. The matter will be forwarded to the municipal court.

Cpl. Stephans made contact at 10:11 a.m. Jan. 11 with a man in a business parking lot on the 1300 block of Porter Wagoner Boulevard. The man was found to be wanted on active city warrants and taken into custody and held in the city jail.

At 10:43 a.m. Jan. 11, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Joe Jones Boulevard for a theft report. Officer Barrett spoke with a man who reported his license plate had been stolen from his vehicle, which was parked at his home.

Cpl. Stephens was dispatched at 11:06 a.m. Jan. 11 to a home on Burgoyne Street for a report of a burglary and a violation of an order of protection. The case is under investigation.

At 11:48 a.m. Jan. 11, a vehicle was stopped on Broadway for a traffic violation, resulting int he driver being taken into custody and to the police department. The driver was ticketed on charges of driving while intoxicated, a stop light violation and failure to show proof of financial responsibility, and released with a court date. Sgt. Romans.

Officers were dispatched at 1:59 p.m. Jan. 11 to the police station for a person with an active warrant for their arrest. The person was taken into custody and processed into the city jail. Officer Nathaniel Siegrist.

At 3:35 p.m. Jan. 11, officers responded to a home on Missouri Avenue to serve an arrest warrant. A woman was taken into custody and later bonded out. Officer Keepes.

Officers were dispatched at 5:04 p.m. Jan. 11 to a business on the 1400 block of Mitchell Drive for counterfeit currency. The currency was seized and a report was completed. Officer Siegrist.

At 2:11 a.m. Jan. 12, Officer Meyer was dispatched the 1800 block of Palmer Street for a report of a hit-and-run crash. The driver was located and found to be under the influence of alcohol and without a valid driver’s license, and subsequently arrested and taken to the city jail. The driver was booked, fingerprinted and release and the case is open and active pending lab results.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department requested police assistance at 8:40 a.m. Jan. 20 with extracting forensic investigative material from a cellular phone. The process was conducted; the device and a report were given to the case agent. Detective Neuschwander.

At 10:55 a.m. Jan. 12, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department asked for police assistance with extracting forensic investigative material from five cellular phones for multiple ongoing investigations within that jurisdiction. Officers were dispatched at 2:28 p.m. Jan. 12 to the 800 block of East Main Street for property damage. A report was completed and the case is closed. Officer Siegrist.

At 6:20 p.m. Jan. 12, officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Hubert Redburn Drive for a disturbance. A man was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for a 96-hour mental evaluation hold. Officer Brixey.

At 12:51 a.m. Jan. 12, Officer Meyer stopped a vehicle on Washington Avenue and the driver was found to be intoxicated. The driver was arrested and taken to the police station to be booked, processed and released with tickets. The case was referred to city prosecutors for review.

Officers were dispatched at 2 p.m. Jan. 12 to the police station for found property, which was placed into evidence for safekeeping. Officer Siegrist.

Officer Brixey stopped a vehicle at 3:42 p.m. Jan. 12 near Worley Drive and K Highway and found the driver did not have a valid license. The driver was arrested and the vehicle turned over to a passenger whose license was valid. The driver was taken to the city jail and later released with a court date.

At 8:41 p.m. Jan. 12, Officers were dispatched to Seminole Street for a possible domestic disturbance. The parties were separated and the incident documented. Officer Siegrist.

Officer Meyer stopped a vehicle at 1:40 a.m. Jan. 13 on Gibson Avenue. During the stop it was learned multiple passengers were younger than 21 and intoxicated by alcohol. They were arrested and taken to the city jail, booked and released with tickets.

At 4:49 p.m. Jan. 13, officers stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation on the 300 block of Porter Wagoner Boulevard. The driver was found to have his privileges revoked and to be wanted on arrest warrants. He was arrested and taken to the police station, where he eventually bonded out on the warrants. A formal charge is pending for driving while revoked. Cpl. Manning.

Officers on patrol at 5:15 p.m. Jan. 13 near Thornburgh Avenue stopped a vehicle, resulting in a woman being arrested on a charge of not having a required license. She was taken to the city jail for booking and fingerprinting, then later released with a court date. Officer Shell.

At 6:09 p.m. Jan. 13, officers stopped a vehicle on the 500 block of Porter Wagoner Boulevard and found the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was arrested, booked and released with tickets. Officer Siegrist.

Officers stopped a vehicle at 6:53 p.m. Jan. 13 for an equipment violation. The driver was found to have a revoked license, arrested, and taken to the police station where he was later released with a ticket. Cpl. Manning.

At 8:51 p.m. Jan. 13, officers responded to the 2400 block of McFarland Drive for a call regarding a sex crime. An investigation was conducted and a man was later arrested and held pending formal charges for enticement of a child younger than 15. Cpl. Manning.
