ARRESTS

Randy G. Hayes, 61, was arrested Feb. 12 on a charge of driving while revoked or suspended and released the following day without bond. Cpl. Thomas Manning.

Jeremiah Joshua Johns, 38, was arrested Feb. 14 on a charge of third-degree domestic assault and released the next day without bond. Officer Brent Keepes.

Christopher Dean Richardson, 34, was arrested by Sgt. Colter Reid Feb. 14 on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, and arrested again on the same charge by Officer Daiman Meyer on Saturday. Both times, he was released the same day without bond.

Thomas Roy Flanagan, 52, was arrested Feb. 15 on a warrant for failure to appear and released Saturday on $173 cash-only bond. Officer Keepes.

Michael Bradley Gillham, 27, was arrested Friday on a charge of second-degree burglary and released the following day without bond. Officer Nathaniel Siegrist.

Zachary Russ Mayberry, 31, was arrested Sunday on a warrant for failure to appear and held without bond. Cpl. Manning.

Ashley Dawn Hackworth, 42, was arrested Sunday on a warrant for failure to appear and held without bond. Cpl. Manning.

INCIDENT REPORTS

At 10:14 a.m. Feb. 12, Officer Austin Deshazo responded to the 300 block of South Arkansas Street for a report of a domestic assault. A person involved was taken to a facility in West Plains and a report was taken for documentation.

Officers responded at 1 p.m. Feb. 12 to the area of 2400 McFarland Drive for a report of domestic assault. The case is being referred to the Howell County Juvenile Office. Officer Whitley Clark.

At 3:18 p.m.m Feb. 12, Officer Jacob Brixey was dispatched to Rent-a-Center in Southern Hills Shopping Center to take a report of stealing. A suspect was identified and charges are being forwarded to the county prosecutor’s office.

Cpl. Manning saw a black Chevrolet without license plates cross over the double yellow line at 3:47 p.m. Feb. 12 on Broadway. He stopped the vehicle and the driver was arrested on a charge of driving with a revoked license and held at the police station pending formal charges.

At 6:41 p.m. Feb. 12, Officer Jerry Mingus reported a call was received at the police station regarding a social media post seeming to threaten West Plains High School. The case was given to detectives for investigation.

Officer Mingus was dispatched to the 300 block of Amyx Street for a disturbance called into 911. The 911 dispatcher reported screaming could be heard in the background of the call before it was disconnected. Dispatch provided the address, and the residents were spoken to and advised to separate for the night.

At 7:43 p.m. Feb. 13 Animal Control Officer Brad Jones was dispatched to a home on the 1000 block of Armstrong Street for a dog running loose and acting aggressive. He spoke to a woman who said her neighbor’s dog had come into her yard, growling and behaving aggressively toward her. The owner was found and ticketed on a loose dog charge.

Thayer police asked at 10:05 a.m. Feb. 13 for digital forensic extractions to be done on three cell phones for an ongoing investigation. The process was conducted and devices and reports were given to the case agent. Detective Joe Neuschwander.

At 12:04 p.m. Feb. 13, officers took a report of domestic violence that happened on the 2200 block of Deer Valley Drive. The case is open for further investigation. Officer Clark.

Officer Deshazo responded at 12:17 p.m. Feb. 13 to the 1100 block of Missouri Avenue for found property, which was recovered and placed into evidence for safe-keeping.

At 2:08 p.m. Feb. 13, officers were dispatched to the area of West Plains High School for a report that a youth had nicotine products. The case will be sent to the Juvenile Office. School Resource Officer Conner Burnes.

At 6:22 p.m. Feb. 13, Cpl. Manning was on neighborhood patrol and saw a man walking. The man consented to a search, leading to the alleged discover of drugs in his pocket. He was detained and taken to the police station, where he was released pending formal charges.

ACO Jones was dispatched at 7:09 a.m. Feb. 14 to the 1800 block of Westway Drive for a person who said her dog was either lost or stolen. He spoke with an elderly woman who said when she came home after being gone a few days, she could not find her dog. After contacting other people, the dog was found.

At 8:26 a.m. Feb. 14, a report was filed regarding the burglary of a building on the 200 block of Leyda Street sometime between 8 a.m. Feb. 13 and 8:15 a.m. Feb. 14. Investigation continues. Sgt. Brandon Romans.

Officers were dispatched at 9:35 a.m. Feb. 14 to the 1700 block of Amy Street for a report of an open door at a home. Officers secured the home and contacted the property’s owner. Officer Chris Barrett.

At 3 p.m. Feb. 14, officers took a report in the area of Zizzer Pride Academy regarding a youth having a nicotine vape. A referral was forwarded to the Juvenile Office. Officer Clark, school resource officer.

Cpl. Manning responded at 6:18 p.m. Feb. 14 to Simpson Street for a domestic disturbance. A man provided statements, but a woman involved was not initially able to be located to give her statements. Officers executed a search warrant at a different location later and were able to get her statements then.

At 7:03 p.m. Feb. 14, officers were dispatched to Cricket Wireless in Southern Hills Shopping Center for a reported physical fight between a man and woman. A man was taken into custody and charges are sought for domestic assault.

Officers with the police department, with assistance from Howell County deputies, served a narcotics-related search warrant at 7:33 p.m. Feb. 14 on the 300 block of Maple Street, resulting in the seizure of paraphernalia related to distribution and sales of illegal drugs, including money. Three arrests were made: One person was arrested on an active warrant, one on pending charges of drug trafficking and keeping or maintaining a public nuisance and one on a pending charge of possession of paraphernalia. At 11:31 p.m. Feb. 14, Officer Meyer stopped a vehicle on Deatherage Street, and the driver was found to be intoxicated. The driver was arrested and taken to the city jail to be booked, fingerprinted and released with tickets. The case was referred to the county prosecutor’s office for review.

Officer Meyer responded at 1:24 a.m. Feb. 15 to the 200 block of Maple Street for a report of a disturbance. Both parties separated for the night.

At 2:08 a.m. Feb. 15, Officer Meyer saw a man walking in a parking lot on Imperial Drive and contacted him. The man was learned to have an active warrant for his arrest, and was arrested and taken to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office.

Officer Jesse Martin was dispatched at 2:43 a.m to the 300 block of Maple Street for a domestic disturbance. It was learned an assault had happened. A person was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

At 9:20 a.m. Feb. 15, the Wright County Sheriff’s Office asked for a digital forensic extraction to be done on a device for an investigation. The extraction was done and the device and a report given to the case agent. Detective Neuschwander.

A city-owned vehicle was involved in a traffic crash at 11:26 a.m. Feb. 15 on Nichols Drive. The other driver was uncooperative. A report was completed for documentation. Cpl. Brent McKemie.

At 3:32 p.m. Feb. 15, the Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children indicating a child had been contacted on a social media platform, asked for images, and was sent through a messaging feature a sexually explicit image. Investigation continues. Detective Neuschwander.

Officers were dispatched at 4:13 p.m. Feb. 15 to the 700 block of West Broadway for a vehicle leaving the scene of a traffic crash. The case remains open. Officer Siegrist.

At 4:18 p.m. Feb. 15, officers were dispatched to the police station to talk to a woman who wanted to report damage to her vehicle at LA Nails. The issue was determined to be civil, however, during investigation, it was discovered that a domestic violence incident had occurred between spouses. Charges are sought and a summons was issued. Officers were dispatched at 5:55 p.m. Feb. 15 to the 1200 block of Jackson Street for a person not breathing. The case, logged as a death investigation, is still under investigation. Officer Siegrist..

At 8:23 p.m. Feb. 15, Cpl. Wes Stuart was dispatched to Walmart for a theft in progress. A possible suspect was identified and the case is under investigation.

Officers responded at 8:49 p.m. Feb. 15 to a possible vehicle crash on Bill Virdon Boulevard. A vehicle was found in the ditch with no driver. It was towed from the scene due to being abandoned and disabled. Officer Keepes.

At 6:37 p.m. Friday, officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Aldridge Street for a disturbance. A report was completed for documentation. Officer Siegrist.

Officer Meyer stopped a vehicle at 11:57 p.m. Friday on Lincoln Avenue. The passenger was found to be in possession of a controlled substance, then placed under arrest and taken to the city jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

At 11:01 a.m. Saturday, Officer Jacob Miller was dispatched to the Ozarks Healthcare emergency room for an assault. The case is being forwarded to the prosecutor.

Officers were dispatched at 6:03 p.m. Saturday to the 800 block of Walker Street for a suicidal person, who was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for a 96-hour mental health evaluation. Officer Siegrist.

At 8 p.m. Saturday, a traffic stop was made on Broadway, resulting in a person being ticketed and released. Officer Siegrist.

Officers were dispatched at 8:56 p.m. Saturday to the 2100 block of Hubert Redburn Drive for a domestic disturbance. Two people were spoken to and a report was taken. Officer Robert Shell.

At 9:48 p.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of St. Louis St. for found property, which was taken to be entered into evidence. Officer Siegrist.

Officer Martin was dispatched at 11:06 p.m. Saturday to the 1100 block of Webster Avenue for a court order violation. Charges are being sought.

At 5:21 p.m. Sunday, Cpl. Manning was on patrol near the 1800 block of Porter Wagoner Boulevard and saw a man he knew to have active warrants for his arrest. Upon confirmation of the warrants, the man was taken to the police station, where he eventually bonded out.

Officer Mingus was dispatched at 7:18 p.m. Sunday to the 600 block of Independence Drive to do a well-being check. A missing adult was located and returned to family members.

At 8:27 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Aldridge Street for a domestic disturbance. A woman was spoken to and a report taken. Charges will e sent to the city court. Officer Shell.

Officers were dispatched at 9:35 p.m. Sunday to the 1400 block of West Third Street for a well-being check. A woman was contacted and a report taken, then she was placed on a 96-hour mental health evaluation hold. Officer Shell.

Cpl. Manning served a city warrant at 9:56 p.m. Sunday on the 400 block of Hynes Street, resulting in the arrest of a woman. She was taken to the police department to be held pending bond.
