West U.S. 160 in West Plains will be reduced to one lane daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting Aug. 25, from County Road 6070 to just west of AB Highway south of the city limits.
The lane reduction also includes an 11-foot width reduction. Contractor crews will resurface the highway and construct a center turn lane, and work is expected to continue through Nov. 1, weather permitting, including weekends as needed.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
