TICKETS

Inez Jean Fry, Willow Springs, was ticketed at 11:57 a.m. Feb. 15 on a charge of having an animal at large. Animal Control Officer Mark Templemere.

Kendall Paul Blosser, Viola, Ark., was ticketed at 2:06 p.m. Feb. 15 on a charge of speeding by 16-19 mph over. Officer Cary Gates.

Madasen Marie Brown, Mtn. View, was ticketed at 3:03 p.m. Feb. 15 on a charge of failure to stop at a stop sign. Officer Gates.

Ezekiel Maxwell Allen Taylor, Greenfield, was ticketed at 1:09 p.m. Feb. 18 on a charge of speeding by 16-19 mph over. Officer Jim Hedlesten.

Dominic Vincenzo Romano, Greenfield, was ticketed at 1:16 p.m. Feb. 18 on a charge of speeding by 16-19 mph over. Officer Hedlesten.

Michael Hanson, Batesville, Ark., was ticketed at 2:23 p.m. Feb. 20 on a charge of driving a vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility. Officer Joe Barnhouse.

INCIDENT REPORTS

At 5:04 p.m. Feb. 17, ACO Templemere responded to a call about a stray dog in the area of Trimble Drive. No dog was found but its owners were notified and they went to look for their dog.

Officer Barnhouse responded at 3:34 p.m. Feb. 20 to North Campbell Street for a report of suspicious activity. The incident was investigated but no action was needed.

CALLS FOR SERVICE

Sgt. David Struble responded on Feb. 15 to a business on the 400 block of East Main Street for a disturbance. An employee had been terminated and did not want to leave peacefully. The former employee was trespassed from the business.

On Feb. 15, a person went to the police station with a dog she had found. ACO Templemere was contacted, but when he arrived at the police station the woman and dog had already left.

Officers Joby Hoopes and Gates responded on Feb. 16 to Highway 76 for a domestic disturbance call. A reporting party had called for a tenant who wanted to report the incident. The parties involved were advised of the 12-hour separation rule and separated accordingly.

On Feb. 16, Officer Gates responded to Highway 76 after a 911 call was placed regarding an assault with a shoulder injury. Officers cleared the scene and the hurt person was taken by ambulance for treatment.

A person called to ask an officer a question on Feb. 16, but an argument broke out while the person was on the phone. Officers Ryan McGinnis, Hoopes and Gates were sent to the scene on West Fourth Street, but everything was OK and officers left.

On Feb. 17, Officer Wade Bloomer responded to a commercial alarm and found the business secure.

Officer responded on Feb. 17 to a call regarding a woman being harassed by someone on a bicycle, but the offender was not located. Officer Bloomer.

On Feb. 17, Officer Bloomer assisted another agency with a traffic crash in the area of U.S. 60/63 and Business U.S. 60.

ACO Templemere and Officer Hedlesten responded on Feb. 18 to North Grand Street for a call about a possibly aggressive pit bull running loose. The animal was not aggressive and was returned to its owner without incident.

On Feb. 18, Officer Barnhouse took a call from someone about contacting the Shannon County Sheriff’s Office for a civil standby and advised the caller to contact the agency directly.

Officer Barnhouse assisted ACO Templemere on Feb. 18 with picking up an aggressive stray dog in the area of West High Street and Corn Avenue.

On Feb. 18, Officer Barnhouse assisted the Howell County Sheriff’s Office with securing a dog in the city pound.

Officer Barnhouse responded with Willow Springs Fire Department on Feb. 18 to the area of Pine Grove Road and Clingan Avenue for a call regarding a possible brush fire. The fire was found to be a controlled burn.

On Feb. 18, Officer Ryan McGinnis assisted emergency medical personnel with a patient on Highway 76.

Officer McGinnis responded on Feb. 19 to Railroad Drive to clear debris from the road.

On Feb. 19, Officer McGinnis responded to a traffic accident involving a vehicle and a deer in the area of DD Highway and North Harris Street. When he arrived, the deer took off running. Minor damage to the front of the car was reported.

A citizen called the police station on Feb. 19 regarding a dog that may have been picked up by animal control the previous day.

On Feb. 20, Officer Barnhouse responded to the area of East Main Street and Industrial Drive to remove debris from the road.

Officer McGinnis responded on Feb. 20 to East Main Street after a caller reported a loud noise. When he passed by the location, he could hear no noise.

On Feb. 20, a person called police about burning a small pile of brush in the caller’s yard.

A caller asked for information about a salvage yard on Feb. 20 and was told to Google it for that information.

Officer Barnhouse responded on Feb. 20 to the area of Campbell Street and High Street for a complaint of a suspicious person. The person in question was contacted, then contact was made with the reporting party and a statement was filled out.

On Feb. 20, Officer Barnhouse responded to East Main Street and Industrial Drive to assist the Missouri Department of Transportation with traffic control for a downed stop sign.

Officer Barnhouse conducted a well-being check Feb. 20 in the area of North Ash Street and Park Street. Everything was OK.

Chief Wes Ellison responded Feb. 21 to East Main Street for a tractor-trailer blocking visibility. The driver advised he would move.

On Feb. 21, Chief Ellison and Assistant Chief Alan Lewis took a call from a citizen who wanted to thank the police department for all they do.

ACO Templemere responded Feb. 21 to West Tenth Street for an animal complaint. The animal was caught and returned to its owner without issue.

On Feb. 21, Officer Barnhouse responded to East Main Street to do an area check after two people were seen fighting, one on a bike and one on a dumpster.

Officer Barnhouse responded Feb. 21 to East Main Street for a well-being check after a 911-hangup call. He found the parties and the said the call was accidentally placed while they were playing basketball.

On Feb. 21, Officer Barnhouse responded to the area of North Pine Street and Park Street to assist emergency medical personnel with someone who was committing themselves to medical care. The person was cooperative and taken in an ambulance.

Officer Barnhouse stopped to assist a driver on Feb. 21 on east U.S. 60/63 at the north junction. The driver was fine.
