Austin Garrett Turner-Collins, Willard, was ticketed at 11:05 a.m. March 9 on a charge of speeding by 16-19 mph over on U.S. 60/63. Officer Jim Hedlesten.

David Keith Gehner, St. Louis, was ticketed at 10:45 a.m. March 10 on a charge of speeding by 16-19 mph over on Industrial Drive/U.S. 60 overpass. Officer Joe Barnhouse.

Taylor Mackenzie Lawson, Branson, was ticketed at 8:25 a.m. March 11 on a charge of driving while revoked or suspended, then at 8:34 a.m. on a charge of driving a vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility. Officer David Hocking.

INCIDENT REPORTS

At 2:11 p.m. March 7 a man reported suspicious activity near his home on North Center Street. Officer Joby Hoopes took a report.

A woman reported at 7:36 p.m. March 9 that someone had stolen $200 out of her wallet. Officer Hoopes took a report.

At 4:48 p.m. March 10, Officer Hocking responded to Love’s Travel Stop for a traffic crash. When he spoke to one of the drivers involved, the driver said the other driver who had hit his vehicle had already left, after exchanging information. It was reportedly determined that the other driver’s license was suspended and tickets are being issued.

Officer Ryan McGinnis and Sgt. David Struble were dispatched at 1:09 a.m. March 11 to Valley Street to conduct a well-being check and found the subject of the check deceased. The case was logged as a suicide.

At 8:20 p.m. March 11, a trooper with the Missouri State Highway Patrol took a person to the police department on a warrant. The person bonded out and was released.

CALLS FOR SERVICE

On March 7, Officer McGinnis responded to an address on Highway 75 and assisted emergency medical personnel.

Animal Control Officer Mark Templemere took information on March 7 regarding an animal running at large on Summit Street.

On March 7, a person went to the police station to pay a ticket and was advised to go to city hall.

A person called March 7 regarding property he had found on North Center Street. Officer Hoopes and Sgt. Struble responded.

On March 8, Officer Cary Gates investigated a suspicious vehicle that was found unoccupied at an unspecified location.

Officer Wade Bloomer assisted emergency medical personnel with an intoxicated patient on March 8 on Business U.S. 60/63. The person was transported for care.

On March 8, Officer Gates conducted traffic enforcement on North Ferguson Street.

Officers Hoopes and Jake Cronin responded on March 8 to North Ferguson Street to assist emergency medical personnel with a patient.

On March 8, a person went to the police station for probation and parole. The person had an active warrant for arrest and was taken into custody. Officers Hoopes and Cronin.

A person called police on March 8 to ask for a well-being check, but it was outside of Willow Springs’ jurisdiction.

On March 8, Officer Hoopes provided a funeral escort.

A person called to report a dispute between two people on March 8. Both were separated and went their own ways.

On March 8 a person called to report animal abuse.

Sgt. Struble spoke to a caller on March 8 regarding a social media incident.

On March 9, Officer Bloomer assisted emergency medical personnel with a call on Highway 76.

Officer McGinnis conducted a well-being check on March 10, and checked the surrounding area, but was unable to locate the person.

On March 11, Officer McGinnis and Sgt. Struble conducted a follow-up to a well-being check on East Valley Street.

Officer Hocking conducted a well-being check requested by a caller March 11 for a youth walking on North Harris Street, but the youth was gone when he arrived.

On March 11, a person called to reported five pups running loose on West Main Street.

A person went to the police station on March 11 to report a towed vehicle.

On March 11, Officer Barnhouse conducted a check of vacant homes on Lance Lane.

A 911 call was received March 11 regarding a tractor-trailer that had overturned on East U.S. 60/63. Officer Hocking responded but did not locate the crash and forwarded the call to the patrol’s Troop G.

On March 11, a patrol trooper brought a person in to post bond on a warrant.

Sgt. Struble and Officer McGinnis responded March 11 to North Grand Street for a domestic disturbance in progress. Both parties were separated for the night.

On March 11, Officer McGinnis gave a courtesy ride to someone from Love’s Travel Stop to the weigh scales.

Officer McGinnis took a call from someone on March 12 regarding a lost cell phone on Highway 137.

On March 12, Officer McGinnis and Sgt. Struble assisted emergency medical personnel at an unspecified location.

Officer McGinnis checked on a stranded motorist March 12 at the U.S. 60/63 and Industrial Drive off-ramp. The driver was waiting for a tow truck.

On March 12, Officers Hocking and Barnhouse responded to Welch Drive for a report of possible gunshots, which was deemed unfounded.

Officer McGinnis responded to a commercial alarm on March 12 and spoke to the management of the business. Everything was fine.

On March 12, Officer McGinnis assisted a Howell County deputy with a traffic stop on U.S. 60/63 and Industrial Drive.

Officer McGinnis conducted extra patrol March 12 on Lane Street at a citizen’s request after youths were reported running through a yard.

On March 13, Officer Hedlesten conducted a well-being check on East Main Street and everything was fine.
