Women, children hurt in weekend crashes

A West Plains woman was injured when her vehicle ran off the road at 7:25 a.m. Sunday on south U.S. 63, a half-mile south of Koshkonong in Oregon County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Tpr. L.C. Pruiett, with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported a southbound 2015 Chevrolet Sonic driven by Cheyanne N. Miller, 26, ran off the right side of the road and struck a fence and a tree.

Miller was wearing a seat belt, and was taken by Oregon County ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment of moderate injuries, the report shows.

Pruiett was assisted at the scene by Msgt. S.L. Nelson.

Kaitlyn M. McArroll, 25, Dora, was injured in a two-vehicle crash, along with an infant and 8-year-old girl who were passengers, at 3:50 p.m. Friday on east U.S. 60 at Highway 19 in Shannon County.

Msgt. Nelson reported a northbound 2002 Ford F150 driven by Seth L. Rowland, 18, Winona, failed to yield to a westbound 2004 Chevrolet Silverado driven by McArroll and struck the driver's side of the Chevrolet.

McArroll was wearing a seat belt and the two children were secured in a child safety seats at the time of the collision, according to the patrol. The identities of minors are not released to the public as part of Troop G's policy, but the infant's age was listed as less than a year old.

The three were taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment of minor injuries, the report shows.
