Customers and employees of Wood & Huston Bank have collectively made a $1,000 donation to the West Plains Regional Animal Shelter, to be used to help fund the construction of a new building on the shelter property at 1486 BB Highway in West Plains. Volunteer Trish Hammen said the ground will be leveled and concrete should be poured this winter. The new facility will include the shelter, thrift store and a feral cat building that Hammen said has been a longtime dream of hers. A GoFundMe page has been created for those who wish to contribute more, at gofund.me/6628c3ff.
