The West Plains R-7 School Board has appointed West Plains Middle School Principal Dr. Donnie Miller as the district transportation director, effective July 1, 2024.
Lenny Eagleman, the current director, will retire at the end of the school year.
Miller has been the middle school principal since 2021, and prior to that was the West Plains Elementary principal, a role in which he served for eight years. Before coming to West Plains R-7, he had acquired 10 years of administration experience in Plato and Success school districts in Texas County.
"Dr. Miller is a great educator with many years of classroom and leadership experience,” said district Superintendent Dr. Wesley Davis. “He will be a great leader as our district transportation director.”
Miller earned his doctorate in education administration in 2019 from William Woods University.
