WS Arts Council names winners of High School Invitational show

Dec. 2 was a busy day in Willow Springs with lots of Holli-Day activities happening downtown, including the second annual Willow Springs Arts Council Invitational Art Show.

The show was held at the Ferguson Building and featured what council officials called “amazing art” from West Plains, Willow Springs, Liberty (Mtn. View-Birch Tree), Cabool and Thayer high school students.

The arts council would like to thank the schools participating, and Ron McGarry and Dawn King for judging.

WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Best of Show: Emily Ritter, West Plains.

Painting: first, Brooklyn Smith, West Plains; second, Karis Cochran, Willow Springs; third, Karis Cochran, Willow Springs; and honorable mention, Alyssa Heller, West Plains.

Pencil/Charcoal: first, Jasmine Hulvey, Liberty; second, Bree Daniels, Liberty; third, Zara Hockman, Liberty; and honorable mention, Abigail Wills, Willow Springs.

Colored Pencil/ Oil Pastel: first, Emily Ritter, West Plains; second, Leighanna Brooks, Liberty; third, Daylon Flores, Liberty; and honorable mention, Abigail Wills, Willow Springs.
