A Missouri Lottery player won $50,000 on a “$250 Million Extravaganza” Scratchers ticket purchased at VIP C Store, 1111 Porter Wagoner Blvd. in West Plains.
The winner, whose identity is withheld under state law protecting the privacy of lottery winners, said the prize grew as she uncovered more spots on the ticket.
“I couldn’t believe it. I was so surprised,” she said. “I just picked this one and won.”
Players of “$250 Million Extravaganza” have won more than $89.7 million in prizes since the $50 game was released. Two top prizes of $5 million, two second-tier prizes of $1 million and 33 additional $50,000 prizes remain unclaimed.
During fiscal year 2025, players in Howell County won more than $7.7 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, said officials. Retailers received more than $645,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $459,000 in lottery proceeds went to educational programs in the county.
