Arts Alliance member events and activities

 

June 13 (7 p.m.) Live Music with Action (Get Action), Spectral & E.S.A., The Yellow House, 209 W. Trish Knight St.

 

June 13 (2 & 7 p.m.) A Swan Princess Ballet “The Story of Swan Lake” presented by Children’s Ballet of the Ozarks at the West Plains Civic Center, 110 St. Louis St.

 

June 18 (6 p.m.) 250-Year Celebration, “Civil War” presentation by Vincent Anderson, with West Plains Council on the Arts (WPCA), Garnett Library

 

June 19-20 & 25-27 (7 p.m.) & June 21 & 28 (3 p.m.) “Matilda” the Musical, Avenue Theatre, 307 Washington Ave.

 

July 4 (10 a.m.-1 p.m.) America 250 – Old-Fashioned 4th of July celebration with music and non-motorized parade, hosted by Explore West Plains, MSU-West Plains Bell Tower/Amphitheater.

 

July 10, 11, 14, 16, 17, 18, 24, 25 (7 p.m.) & July 12, 19, 26 (3 p.m.) “The Villain of Pine Hollow,” live theater performances by West Plains House, Civic Center Theater.

 

Through July 17 (During regular business hours. Civic Center will be closed July 3 & 4.) Gallery Exhibit, “FREEDOM” Artists’ Celebration of 250 years, sponsored by WPCA, Civic Center Mezzanine. Reception for show will be June 24 (4-6 p.m.) in the Civic Center lobby.

Through end of June (weekdays, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) Art at OzSbi, artist Angela Bullard. Featured on first floor of Ozarks Small Business Incubator, 408 Washington Ave., in partnership with WPCA.

Through July 11 (Thursdays-Sundays, noon-4 p.m.) “Beyond the Canvas” 3D Art Show, Harlin Museum, 405 Worcester.

July-September (weekdays, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) Art at OzSbi in partnership with WPCA will feature artist Lee Copen.

July-September (during hours serving food) Art at Grizzly Bite, Artist Garrett Melby. Sponsored by WPCA at Grizzly Bite at the Grizzly Lofts, 665 Missouri Ave.

June 18 (6-8 p.m.) Free live music “Sounds Downtown” with The Downtown House Band and Drifters Mile, The Back Lot, Luster Arcade.

 

June 19 (10 a.m.-4 p.m.) Juneteenth & Lincoln School Centennial Celebration with food trucks, music, classis cars, Lincoln School, 1400 E. Pony Thomas.

 

June 19 (7 p.m.) & June 20 (3 & 7 p.m.) The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, live theater production by Fine Arts Academy, Genesis Church, 4945 US Hwy 160.

 

June 20 (11 a.m.-2 p.m.) “Music by the Murals” Live Music & DJ T-Nyce, Luster Arcade.

 

June 20 (8 a.m.) Memorial Service Honoring Lives & Legacies of Regional African American Figures, Historic Sadie Brown Cemetery, Corner of N. Hwy. 63 and W. Hwy. 14.

 

June 27 (starts around dark) Free Movie in the Park, Carmical Field, Missouri Avenue. Check West Plains Parks and Recreation on Facebook for details closer to event time.

 

June 30 (7 p.m.) Ozarks AcousChicks ~ A Capella Musical Semiquincentennial Celebration, First Church of God, 1700 Wayhaven Drive.

 

July 3 (gates at 5 p.m.) “Skyfire 2026” fireworks display at Heart of the Ozarks Fairgrounds. Food trucks (5-9 p.m.) with fireworks at dark.
