Ava teen injured Tuesday in Wright Co. collision

An 18-year-old woman from Ava suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 5:50 a.m. Tuesday on an unspecified road 3 miles west of Mansfield in Wright County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Msgt. R.D. Vaughan, with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported a westbound 2010 Volvo SUV driven by a 35-year-old Mansfield man entered the road from a crossover. A westbound 2014 Chevrolet Cruze driven by the Ava woman attempted to pass an uninvolved vehicle and struck the rear of the Volvo.

The Ava woman was not wearing a seat belt and was taken by Mercy Ambulance for medical treatment, the report shows. The hospital destination was not indicated. No injuries were reported for the driver of the Volvo or his 20-year-old male passenger, neither of whom were wearing seat belts.

 

Two WP women hurt in Texas Co. crash

Two West Plains women suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 12:15 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 63 at Morton Road, 3 miles north of Houston in Texas County.

Tpr. A.T. Sigman reported a northbound 2015 Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 78-year-old woman from Bucyrus made a left turn in front of a northbound 2018 Chrysler Pacifica driven by a 22-year-old West Plains woman, resulting in a collision.

Two passengers in the Chrysler, a 34-year-old woman and a 42-year-old woman, both of West Plains, were wearing seat belts and were taken by Texas County Memorial Ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston for treatment, the report shows. No injuries were reported for either driver, who both also wore seat belts.

 

Four injured in Ozark Co. crash

Four people suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 1:20 p.m. Aug. 8 on H Highway, 5 miles south of Dora in Ozark County.

Msgt. C.A. Hogue reported a southbound 1999 Mercury Sable driven by a 17-year-old girl turned left in front of a northbound 2024 Nissan Altima driven by a 42-year-old man from Middleton, Wis.

The driver of the Mercury and her passenger, an 18-year-old Tecumseh woman, were taken by private vehicle to Baxter Health in Mtn. Home, Ark., for treatment, the report shows. Two passengers in the Nissan, an 11-year-old girl and a 20-year-old woman, both from Middleton, were taken by Ozark County Ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment.

All occupants were wearing seat belts. No injuries were reported for the driver of the Nissan.

 

Arkansas man injured in Webster Co. rollover

A 30-year-old Calico Rock, Ark., man suffered moderate injuries in a rollover crash at 2:30 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 60, a mile west of Fordland in Webster County.

Tpr. N.L. Vines, with Troop D of the patrol, Springfield, reported a westbound 2016 Ford F-150 driven by the man traveled off the left side of the road and overturned.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was taken by ambulance to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield for treatment, the report shows.
