Bluetick hound experts to speak at Ozark Co. Historium

Ozark County native Lonnie Uchtman holds a copy of “Home of the Hawk Dogs!” Uchtman, his wife Beverly Uchtman, and their daughter, author Lori Uchtman Rowe, will discuss the book at 3 p.m. Friday at the Ozark County Historium, 361 Main St. in Gainesville. The free program will focus on the family’s decades-long work with bluetick hounds and their business in the hunting-dog world. For more information, call the Historium at 417-679-2400 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays, or email ozarkco1@ozarkcountyhistory.org.
