Cabool man hurt when semi-truck crashes into creek

A 49-year-old Cabool man suffered minor injuries in a semi-truck crash at 1:35 a.m. Monday on Highway 76, in Douglas County 8 miles west of Willow Springs, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Cpl. D.J. Johnson, with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported an eastbound 2001 Peterbilt 576 driven by the man overturned while rounding a curve, traveled off the right side of the road on a bridge and came to rest in the water in Indian Creek. The driver was wearing a seat belt and was taken by private vehicle for treatment, the report shows.

Cpl. Johnson was assisted at the scene by Sgt. A.D. Johnson, Tpr. W.R. Wylie, the Missouri Department of Transportation, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department and the Eastern Douglas County Fire Department.

 

Mtn. View woman injured in Monday collision

A 26-year-old Mtn. View woman suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 3:50 p.m. Monday on Y Highway , 3 miles north of Mtn. View.

Tpr. C.C. Battreal reported a southbound 2018 Hyundai Sonata driven by the woman struck a northbound 1998 Chevrolet 1500 driven by a 29-year-old Mtn. View man that failed to yield.

The woman was wearing a seat belt and was taken by private vehicle to Mercy St. Francis Hospital in Mtn. View for treatment, the report shows. No injuries were reported for the driver of the Chevrolet, who also wore a seat belt.

 

Rollover on Hwy. 99 injures driver

A 36-year-old Koshkonong man suffered moderate injuries in a rollover crash at 2:40 a.m. Sunday on Highway 99, 4 miles south of Birch Tree in Shannon County. Tpr. B.A. Swink reported a southbound 2006 Jeep Liberty driven by the man crossed the center line, ran off the road, struck a culvert and overturned. The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was taken by Mercy Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment, the report shows.

 

Mtn. View woman injured in Friday semi-truck collision

A 57-year-old Mtn. View woman suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 7 a.m. Friday on east U.S. 60, a half-mile east of Willow Springs.

Cpl. T.D. Pond reported a westbound 2023 Nissan Rogue driven by the woman was struck by a westbound 2005 Kenworth driven by a 21-year-old man from Morristown, Tenn.

The woman was wearing a seat belt and was taken by ambulance to Mercy St. Francis Hospital for treatment, the report shows. No injuries were reported for the driver of the Kenworth, who also wore a seat belt.

Pond was assisted at the scene by Msgt. C.A. Kimes and Cpl. M.T. Weakley.

 

Minor injuries reported for Arkansas motorcyclist

A 64-year-old motorcyclist from Mtn. Home was hurt when his bike struck a pickup truck Friday evening at Gainesville.

Tpr. W.R. Wylie reported a southbound 2020 Kawasaki VN900 rear-ended a 2005 Dodge 2500 driven by a 44-year-old man from Gainesville.   

The collision happened at 5:30 p.m. on Highway 5, the report shows; the motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet and suffered minor injuries, was transported by Ozark County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital for treatment.
