Construction zone crash leads to serious injuries for Ark. man

A 66-year-old Melbourne, Ark., man suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 1:05 p.m.
April 29 on Highway 17, 4 miles north of Lanton, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Tpr. D.B. Howell, with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported a northbound 2007 Dodge
Caliber driven by the man was stopped by a flagger in a construction zone when it was struck
from behind by a northbound 2006 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 32-year-old West Plains
man.
The driver of the Dodge was wearing a seat belt and was flown by air ambulance to Cox South
Medical Center in Springfield for treatment, the report shows. The driver of the Silverado was
reportedly not wearing a seat belt; no injuries were reported for him. Howell was assisted at the
scene by Msgt. T.W. Meyer.
Mtn. Home man seriously injured in semi-truck rollover
A 36-year-old Mtn. Home, Ark., man suffered serious injuries when his semi-truck overturned
multiple times at 8:40 p.m. April 29 on U.S. 160, 5 miles west of Gainesville in Ozark County.
Tpr. W.R. Wylie reported an eastbound 2018 Peterbilt driven by the man ran off the roadway
and rolled multiple times.
The driver was wearing a seat belt and was flown by Air Evac to Cox South for treatment the
report shows.
Licking teen seriously hurt in Sunday motorcycle crash
An 18-year-old motorcyclist from Licking suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash at 11:50
a.m. Sunday on Highway 32, 2 miles east of Success in Texas County.
Cpl. J.R. Sellars reported the man was riding an eastbound 2002 Honda motorcycle and
attempted to avoid an oncoming vehicle and lost control. As a result, the rider was thrown from
the vehicle, Sellars reported.
The man was wearing a helmet and was flown to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
Sellars was assisted at the scene by the Roby Fire Department.
Cabool man involved in serious Randolph Co. crash
A 29-year-old Byrnes Mill man suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash involving a driver
from Cabool at 5:30 p.m. Saturday on A Highway at AA Highway in Moberly in Randolph County.
Tpr. Davis, with Troop B of the patrol, Macon, reported a northbound 2025 Ford Maverick driven
by a 26-year-old Cabool man failed to yield and struck a westbound 2018 Nissan Versa driven

by the Byrnes Mill man.
The driver of the Nissan was wearing a seat belt and was taken by Randolph County
Ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment, the report shows. The Cabool man,
along with his two passengers, a 20-year-old woman and an infant boy from Moberly, reportedly
suffered minor injuries and were treated and released at the scene. All occupants of the Ford
were wearing seat belts or secured in a car seat.
Davis was assisted at the scene by the Randolph County Sheriff's Office, Randolph County
Ambulance and the Northeast Randolph County Fire Department.
Mtn. Grove man's semi involved in Laclede Co. collision
A 68-year-old Lebanon woman suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash involving a Mtn.
Grove semi-truck driver at 4:18 p.m. Friday on Highway 5, 3 miles south of Lebanon in Laclede
County.
Msgt. M.S. Mizer, with Troop I of the patrol, Rolla, reported a southbound 2020 Cadillac
Escalade driven by the woman was making a left turn onto a private drive and struck the side of
a southbound 1987 Peterbilt tractor-trailer, driven by a 32-year-old Mtn. Grove man, as it was
overtaking the Cadillac.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The driver of the Cadillac was taken by Mercy Ambulance
to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon for treatment, the report shows. No injuries were reported for the
Mtn. Grove man.

Teen from Licking injured in Saturday crash
A 19-year-old Licking man suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 10:05 a.m. Saturday
on U.S. 63, a mile north of Houston in Texas County.
Cpl. J.L. Dedmon, with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported a northbound 2015
Toyota Tacoma driven by a 77-year-old Bucyrus man turned left into the path of a southbound
2023 Hyundai Elantra driven by the teen.
The teen was not wearing a seat belt and was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial
Hospital in Houston for treatmentt, the report shows. The driver of the Toyota was wearing a
seat belt and no injuries were reported for him.
