Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) are open this week in Ozark and Shannon counties to assist Missourians impacted by the severe storms and flooding that occurred from March 30 to April 8.
At the centers, residents can get in-person help from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Small Business Administration with applications for assistance, uploading documents and answering questions.
The assistance is for uninsured damage to primary homes or personal property. This declaration does not include damage from the March 14 and 15 tornadoes.
Residents in Howell, Oregon, Carter and Ripley counties are also eligible to apply for assistance.
DRC Locations & Hours:
Location: Ozark County Courthouse, 1 Court Square, Gainesville
Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today and Thursday.
Location: Cornerstone Church, 7137 Oak St., Birch Tree
Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today and Thursday
It is not necessary to visit a DRC to apply. The fastest way is online at DisasterAssistance.gov, by calling the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362, or by using the FEMA app. The deadline to apply is Dec. 22.
