Delta Kappa Gamma Xi Chapter has awarded two $500 Grant-in-Aid scholarships to high school seniors Kayleigh Kinder of West Plains and Sarina Cox of Mtn. View.
Both students plan to pursue teaching careers.
Kinder, who ranked 13th in her class of 295, is the daughter of Erica Cain and Daniel Kinder. She plans to attend Lindenwood University.
Cox, who ranked seventh in her class of 72, is the daughter of Elizabeth Logsdon. She plans to attend Missouri State University-West Plains. By the end of June, Cox is expected to have accumulated enough college credit hours to work as a substitute teacher.
Xi Chapter also awarded a $1,000 college-level scholarship to MSU-WP student Emily Jennings of Mtn. View. Jennings, who is expected to graduate in the fall, currently teaches sixth grade math at West Plains Middle School and will teach sixth grade English language arts next fall.
Xi Chapter thanked members of the scholarship committee for their work.
DKG Missouri State also awards a yearly college-level $1,000 Bradford Grant-in-Aid. This year’s award went to Morgan Adams of Eminence, a student at Southwest Baptist University’s Mtn. View campus. Adams is the daughter of Gingee Adams and is expected to graduate in 2027.
