Four hurt in recent area crashes

A Mtn. Grove man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash at 7 p.m. Sunday on N Highway, 8 miles west of Mtn. Grove in Wright County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Msgt. D.B. Pounds with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported an eastbound 2004 Honda driven by Everett M. Bishop, 20, ran off the road on a curve and Bishop was thrown from the motorcycle.

He was wearing a helmet at the time, and was taken by Mercy Ambulance to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield for treatment, the report shows.

Miranda J. Carter, 36, Dora, suffered moderate injuries in a head-on collision at 11:37 a.m. Friday on Highway 14 in Douglas County, 3 miles west of Siloam Springs.

Sgt. L.S. Elliott reported an eastbound 2018 Dodge Ram driven by Johnathan D. Bardgett, 37, Drury, crossed the center line and struck an oncoming 2022 Kia Sorento driven by Coldin M. Carter, 42, of Dora.

All were reportedly wearing seat belts. Miranda Carter, a passenger in the Kia, was transported by ambulance to Cox South for treatment, the report shows. No injuries were reported for either driver.

Two were hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 11:45 a.m. Saturday on north U.S. 63, 5 miles south of Houston in Texas County.

Tpr. C.K. Johnson reported an eastbound 2010 Toyota Corolla driven by Elizabeth I. McNeese, 63, Solo, pulled into the path of a northbound 2015 Honda Civic driven by Randolph M. Perkins, 23, Gulfport, Miss.

Both were wearing seat belts, and were transported by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, the report shows. Perkins suffered minor injuries and McNeese suffered moderate injuries, the patrol reported.
