Four passengers, including three from West Plains, suffered injuries in a rollover crash at 4:10 p.m. Monday on County Road 14-279, 5 miles north of Dora in Douglas County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Tpr. W.R. Wylie, with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported a northbound 2001 GMC Yukon driven by an 18-year-old West Plains man ran off the right side of the road.
A 17-year-old West Plains girl and a 20-year-old man from Kansas City, both passengers, suffered serious injuries. Two additional passengers, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl, suffered minor injuries.
All four passengers were taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment, the report shows. No injuries were reported for the driver.
Neither the driver nor any of the passengers were wearing seat belts, Wylie reported.
Willow Springs man, passenger injured in head-on collision
A 22-year-old Willow Springs man and a 45-year-old woman suffered injuries in a head-on crash at 12:50 p.m. Friday on north U.S. 63, 5 miles south of Houston in Texas County.
Cpl. J.L. Dedmon reported a southbound 2017 Ford Focus driven by the Willow Springs man crossed the center line and struck an oncoming 2014 Ford F-150 driven by a 57-year-old man from El Dorado, Kan.
The driver of the Focus suffered minor injuries, and a 45-year-old female passenger in the pickup truck suffered moderate injuries. Both were taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston for treatment, the report shows.
The passenger in the pickup was reportedly wearing a seat belt, while the driver of the Focus was not. No injuries were reported for the driver of the Ford F-150.
Dedmon was assisted at the scene by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department.
Two Mtn. Grove boys hurt Sunday
Two children suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 1:56 p.m. Sunday on Dove Creek Road, 10 miles north of Mtn. Grove in Wright County.
Tpr. N.B. Poynter reported an eastbound 2009 Ford Escape driven by a 36-year-old woman from Mtn. Grove crossed the center line and struck an oncoming 2013 Dodge Ram driven by a 69-year-old Mtn. Grove man.
Two boys, ages 6 and 8, who were passengers in the Ford, were taken by private vehicle to TCMH for treatment, the report shows.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts and both boys were properly secured with a seat belt or in a booster seat. No injuries were reported for either driver.
