Willow Springs Rotary Club to host annual alumni pancake breakfast
The Willow Springs Rotary Club will host its traditional Pancake Breakfast from 7:30 to 10 a.m. today at the United Methodist Church, 311 N. Harris St. in Willow Springs.
Held annually during Memorial Day weekend when Willow Springs school alumni are in town for festivities, the menu features pancakes with fresh strawberry topping, sausage, biscuits and gravy, coffee, milk and orange juice.
Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for children. All proceeds directly benefit local community and humanitarian projects sponsored by the club. For more information, contact club president Stephanie Beltz-Price at 417-247-7122.
Quill, public offices to close Monday for Memorial Day
In recognition of Memorial Day, the West Plains Daily Quill will be closed Monday and will reopen for normal business hours at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Federal, state, county and city offices will also be closed, including all driver’s license exam stations, post offices, public libraries, senior centers, courthouses and city halls.
With city offices closed, residents who normally have their trash picked up on Mondays will have their trash collected on Tuesday, with no other routes affected. Missouri State University-West Plains offices will also be closed.
Richards School Board to meet Thursday
The Richards School District Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday in the district boardroom, 3461 County Road 1710.
Following standard administrative reports, the board is scheduled to consider approval of the student handbook, review and approve the district's career ladder plan, select a Missouri School Boards' Association delegate and set the date for the June board meeting.
The board will also enter into a closed executive session to discuss confidential legal and personnel matters as permitted under Missouri Revised Statutes.
