Garden club thanks youth for assistance with sale

Local Girl Scouts assisted the Mtn. View Garden Club during its annual Spring Plant and Bake Sale held at What Park in Mtn. View. According to Garden Club President Robi Tanner, community participation this year went well beyond previous years. Tanner noted the Cadettes, along with local youths Lucas Langston and Kaden Ennis, worked from before opening to past closing time to set up, carry plants to patrons' vehicles and clean up. "Without all of you, the Garden Club could not continue to support the community and our schools in the manner that we do," Tanner said, expressing gratitude for the public's monetary and plant donations, as well as the city's provision of the park for the event. The club's fall sale is scheduled for 9 a.m. Sept. 12.
